The 22-year old forward is going under the knife, and will not touch a basketball for quite some time: “As expected, Brandan Wright will have surgery to repair damage to his left shooting shoulder, the Warriors announced before Sunday’s preseason lid lifter. The team didn’t set a timetable for the forward’s return, but recovery for such surgeries is usually between 4-6 months. Wright had his left shoulder dislocated on a hard foul during Friday’s scrimmage.”...

One story line that has gone relatively under the radar in Dubs Land is that the Warriors have yet to pick up Brandan Wright's 4th year rookie option. ESPN's Chad Ford is reporting that the Golden State Warriors are still after Yi Jianlian. Ford speculates that they could offer Brandan Wright and the #14 pick in the draft for Yi. After receiving phone calls from Michael Jordan and other Charlotte Bobcats' officials, ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith apologized on the Sunday morning SportsCenter for his comments during ESPN's coverage of the NBA Draft, when he described the Bobcats' Brandan Wright for Jason Richardson trade as "stupid." Smith now says that he was engaging in excessive hyperbole but he stands by his assessment that the deal will not turn out well for Charlotte. It is always better to engage one's brain before activating one's mouth and/or keyboard; then you don't have to apologize.

In what can only be described as a shocking move, the Golden State Warriors traded SG Jason Richardson to the Charlotte Bobcats for the 7th pick in the draft, North Carolina's Brandan Wright. My initial reaction to this trade was anger towards the Warriors, because I feel that Wright cannot score outside of 4 feet. However, upon further review, JRich was a little overrated because of his sentimental value and the Warriors don't have the cap room to shoulder his salary. What do you guy...
