New players, new coaches, new front office management, lots of things look different for the St. Louis Rams this season. One constant from past seasons, the injuries. The Rams head into their week 13 game against the bloodied Bears with some key players listed as questionable.
The good news is that C Jason Brown practiced yesterday and shoul...

The St. Louis Rams strung out their game last week against Seattle with a skeleton crew. All over the field injured starters were replaced with backups, it certainly had an impact on the game's outcome. Yesterday the Rams got good news on some of their hurtin' ...

Rams' Jackson misses practice again

St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson did not practice for the second straight day while recovering from lower back spasms, but the team remains confident he'll play Sunday against Seattle.

Guard Richie Incognito, fullback Mike Karney (neck) and offensive tackle Jason Smith also did not practice Thursday. Smith has not been cleared to return from a mild concussion and Incognito has been all but ruled out for a fourth straight game with a foot injury.

Feelin' kind of random today? Headlines are percolating as the St. Louis Rams gear up for a tough game against the New Orleans Saints this week, so let's shake off the bye week rust and jump right in.

RG Richie Incognito will be out. It's not official yet, but he's not practicing this week because of his foot injury. Adam Goldberg will start in his place. WR/KR Danny Amendola has recovered from his concussion and will play this week.

Back to work for Rams: Incognito looks like a no-go against Saints

The St. Louis Rams returned to the practice field Monday after a four-day break for their bye week. The only Ram not practicing Monday was right guard Richie Incognito, with a Lisfranc _ or mid-foot _ sprain of his left foot.

Incognito is out indefinitely and long-snapper Chris Massey done for the year

The PD says The Rams are having tryouts to replace Chris Massey who's out for the year with damage to his left ACL, and RG Richie Incognito is out indefinitely with a "low-grade" Lisfranc injury to his foot. "It might be a 2-3 week injury. We will not have him this week. That can be a tough one if it is a bad one," coach Steve Spagnuolo said.
Lisfranc injuries are on weight bearing bones, and can take a while to heal for heavy guys, or WR...

Barron gets a second chance

St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo met with left tackle Alex Barron today to discuss the lineman's costly outing this Sunday and his role with the team going forward.
Apparently, Barron will get a second chance.
In the comments of today's earlier post about whether or not to play Barron again, 3k summed up the decision harkening back to the Richie Incognito example:

You do play him if the Spagnuolo effect that worked on Incognito works on Barron.

We mentioned Washington LB Robert Henson's, um, statement to the fans after the Rams played the Redskins on Sunday. Shades of Richie Incognito, no?
Richie let his gestures do the talking last season, taunting booing fans for more. Here's Henson's offending statement:

The stat line for Richie Incognito is going to be ugly. Each of his three penalties killed a drive, or at least significantly contributed to its failure. After his second [...]
