So, If Tiger Isn't Winning at Firestone, Who Is?

It will be pretty strange to watch golf this week at Firestone without thinking of Tiger Woods finishing up in the dark, taking home trophy after trophy from the Akron, Ohio venue.

With Woods out, it looks like a whole new list of players will be considered favorites. Amongst those have to be Stewart Cink, who has won there before, and Phil Mickelson, who has too much talent to go this long without a win. If you can place Vijay Singh and Ernie Els as long shots, it will make the opportunity for a more youthful champion to land his name on the trophy.

Do you think the engraver knows how to spell anything but Tiger at this point? You couldn't blame the guy.

Immelman wins the Masters

A 75 was good enough to win the Masters for Immelman. Snedeker started two behind Immelman going into the final round, but shot a 77. What happened to Tiger? He could not make a putt and finished with a 72. Flesch blew up on the back and Casey was out of it after number 4.

Trevor prevails in tough conditions and wins his first Green Jacket and major.

O'Hair Wins at the Pods Championsphip

Sean O'Hair won the PODS Championship today as Stewart Cink imploded in the final round. I didn't watch a whole lot of the round, but it seemed like whenever I looked up at the TV, one of Cink's tee shots was making a beeline for an oak tree or a hospitality tent. It was tough to watch. If you've never heard of O'Hair, read up on him. In a nutshell, his father, Marc, groomed Sean to be a professional golfer from a young age, selling his business to bankroll his training and referring to him during a 60 Minutes segment as his 'investment'.
