And Your 2008 Masters Champion Is…

Some guy named Trevor Immelman. Trevor made himself vulnerable, but Tiger failed to come from behind yet again. The dream is over, and so is the hype. Woods finishes 2nd, which might as well be "1st Loser" to him, and, despite being "easily within reason", Tiger won't be getting that calendar Grand Slam. At least not this season. Perhaps the biggest let down, though, is the fact that the first piece of that Slam was all but put on a platter for him. That's what will keep Tiger up for at least the next few nights.

Immelman wins the Masters

A 75 was good enough to win the Masters for Immelman. Snedeker started two behind Immelman going into the final round, but shot a 77. What happened to Tiger? He could not make a putt and finished with a 72. Flesch blew up on the back and Casey was out of it after number 4.

Trevor prevails in tough conditions and wins his first Green Jacket and major.

Tiger Watch!: Day 2 at the Masters

Tiger's 7 back now. He's looked relatively pedestrian, and the task ahead is a daunting one. Woods will need the 2nd biggest comeback in Masters' history if he wants to slip on that 5th Green Jacket this year. Of course, if anyone is gonna pull such a feat off, Tiger is the most likely candidate. The Grand Slam dream, and the hype, is alive, but it's slipping. It's on life support even. Some Tiger free highlights await after the jump. Gary Player Edition...
