The Rams released Eddie Kennison on Wednesday, only to resign him soon after.A The Rams released him and were poised to activate Derek Stanley from the practice squad, but they got word on Dane Looker's health and promptly resigned Kennison to provide depth in the defensive backfield. A A A A A A A A A A A Eddie was signed a few weeks into the season to provide depth for the Rams depleted wide receiver corps.A We've talked a little bit about the ex-Rams draft pick here. Kennison bounced around the league for a few years before enjoying his best years with the high-flying Kansas City Chiefs. A A A A A A A A A A A In more somber news, Kennison was resigned because of bad news on Dane Looker and his progress from recovering from a concussion suffered against the Buffalo Bills.A Looker is being held out of practices and games because doctors discovered a "spot" on his brain and the doctors are conducting further tests.A Bill Coats of the Post-Dispatch has the word here.A A Here's hoping Dane's tests all come up negative and he gets a full bill of health.A We all take our NFL football very seriously around here, but nothing is more serious than the human brain.A I'm glad the Rams are not messing around and are taking Dane's health very seriously. The Rams signed old friend, Eddie Kennison today to help with the depth at wide receiver and will release LB David Vobora (aka Mr. Irrelevant, the last pick in the 2008 NFL draft). The Rams are desperately grasping at straws to add to their suddenly thin WR corps. Kennison is only getting older and slower when his speed is all he had, so its unclear how much of impact he will have on the Rams offense. Personally, I would like to see more of Burton and Avery (when he gets healthy) and let them sink or swim with this rebuilding Rams team. Kennison Still Waiting for a Call Back from the Bucs

Today's Tampa Tribune is reporting that WR Eddie Kennison is still sitting by the phone, wating for a call back from the Buccaneers to see if they are interested in signing him to a contract. He worked out for the team last month. "He's very interested in being a Buc and has made that clear," said John Hamilton, Kennison's agent. "He would love to play for Jon Gruden and hopefully we'll hear from them soon." Last season with KC, Kennison played in just 8 games due to a bad hammy, and caught 13 passes for 101 yards and no TD's.
