My top 10 picks for Watkins Glen.

Our 2nd and final road course race is upon us, as the NNS and NSCS travel to Watkins Glen. There are several favorites among fans to win this race. My number 1 pick has 4 wins here and is none other than Tony Stewart! After running 2nd to Carl Edwards this past weekend at Pocono, Tony seems poised to pick up his first win of the season and what a better place to do it than at Watkins Glen. Other favorites to win are Jeff Gordon, who also has 4 wins at the Glen, Carl Edwards, who has to win at the Glen, but looked damn good at Sonoma earlier this year, Mark "the kid" Martin, not only a sentimental favorite, but he does know how to win at the Glen, visiting victory lane 3 times in his career. Kyle Busch could indeed be a factor at the Glen as well as Jimmie Johnson. The road course specialists, Boris Said, Ron Fellows ( who won at Gilles Villenuve in Montreal last weekend). Patrick Carpentier could easily win at the Glen. Kevin Harvick could use the win in the worst of ways since he and Clint Bowyer, his teammate are 11th and 12 in the point standings. I'm hoping Jr. could possibly pull out some kind of lucky win, but i really just hope he can walk away from the Glen with a top 10 finish. Good luck to all drivers this weekend at Watkins Glen.

Edwards Flips at Pocono

Carl Edwards got to do his trademark backflip this past weekend at Pocono. This is Edward's 4th victory of the year, but only three of them will count towards the bonus points in the chase. Recall earlier this year, he was found with an infraction and the penalty was to take away the bonus points from that race.ShareThis
