“ATI is extremely excited to be a first-time Sprint Cup Series Sponsor,” said Director of Business Development Jon Shaffer. “We thought there would be no better place to enter this sport than at the Texas Motor Speedway just a few short weeks before the NRA Annual Meeting comes to Texas.”

Joe Nemechek gets sponsorship for Phoenix Nationwide Series race

Joe Nemechek enters Phoenix International Raceway in eleventh place in the NASCAR Nationwide Series points. The veteran driver is just ten points behind tenth place Danica Patrick. Nemechek will welcome AC General and Sasquatch Alaska Adventure Company as sponsors of his No. 87 Toyota Camry for the Great Clips 200.
This is not the first time AC General has sponsored Nemechek. The Alaskan-based company specializes in the construction of ring wall foundation systems for above-ground fuel storage tanks.

Nemecheck supporter HostGator returns to No.87 for Charlotte

One of the biggest surprises of the NASCAR Nationwide Series has been Joe Nemechek. Despite a lack of funding for much of the season the car has worked it’s way into the top-ten in the driver standings. This weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway the car will welcome back a long time sponsor.HostGator will sponsor the Toyota Camry driven by Nemechek this Friday night. The site allows users to register domains. The irony of HostGator returning to sponsor Nemechek is that the No. 7 driven by Danica Patrick and sponsored by Go Daddy is one of the cars attempting to crack into the top ten.The gap between Nemechek and Patrick is one point. The twelth palce driver, Mike Wallace, is a distant thirty-six points behind. With 27 Nationwide starts on the year, Nemechek has one top-ten and and average finish of 19.0 as he chases his best finish in the series since his fifth place finish in 1993. He was the 1992 series champion.

Both outfits have been making advances against their competition, and are reuniting not only to share success but also to help each other in their respective battles.Since their original partnership was formed two years ago, Nemechek and NEMCO Motorsports have moved their entire website hosting to HostGator, encouraging their many business partners to do the same along the way. As an actual HostGator customer, NEMCO can attest to the great service and value that is found with the web host.“We have spent most of this year focused on performance to get the best finishes that we can,” explained Joe Ne...

NASCAR’s Joe Nemechek Auctioning Off 139 Acres & Horse Farm; No Reserve!

Ever wanted to own your a horse farm subdivision in North Carolina with 139 acres and multiple riding stables? NASCAR driver Joe Nemechek wants you to take his Mooresville property off his hands. This guy has been bleeding cash since purchasing this insane development just before the stock market crashed. The original idea was to sell off plots of land to horse enthusiasts. Only one house was ever built. You get it, too.
Nemechek put the property on the market for $11M in 2009. That number has dropped over the years to $8.4M. With nobody stepping up with the cash, auction was a last ditch effort.
“It’s definitely time to move on to the next chapter of my life – the next project,” he said, adding that this was his largest – and last – real estate project, according to the Charlotte Observer.
Translation: the auction will be a bloodbath. The guy is 48 and has four career NASCAR wins. Not exactly a guy swimming in cash.

Joe Nemechek misses first race since 2010

Despite being a go or go home car for for much of the last three years Joe Nemechek had managed to qualify for each Sprint Cup Series race dating back to the fall race at Phoenix in 2010.
That streak ended this weekend when the 48 year old driver failed to qualify for the upcoming Sprint Cup race at Fontana.
Nemechek is not running for driver points in the Sprint Cup series, instead opting to run full races at the Nationwide level.
Outside the top-35 in owner points Nemechek will need to qualify for next weekends race at Martinsville on time. Considering his efforts at the Sprint Cup level have largely been of the start and park variety, it’s more then likely he will need to qualify every race this season based on time.
Nemechek made every race in 2011 while needing to qualify on time. He managed to finish one full race and retired early in 34 events and was involved in a crash during the 2011 Daytona 500.

Why's Daytona so special? Anyone can win

When I look at the guys that are starting the Daytona 500 Sunday on FOX -- guys like Joe Nemechek, Dave Blaney and Michael McDowell who are on such limited resources -- it really is one of the feel-good stories of Speedweeks here in Daytona.

These guys will receive at minimum a little more than $250,000 each for starting the race Sunday. Now obviously to one of the top-tier teams, like Hendrick Motorsports, Richard Childress Racing or Roush-Fenway Racing for example, that isn't a lot of money.

To drivers like Joe, Dave, Michael and their teams, with the way they are forced to race, that kind of money is huge and can get them well down the road with their budget. Is it realistically going to allow them to run competitively in the next two to three races on the schedule? No, not really.

The big benefit however is with these restrictor plate races, anyone can run up front, anyone can finish in the top five and quite honestly, anyone can win. Just look who finished third last year in the Daytona 500 -- Dav

Nemechek, Gordon strike for owner-drivers

So often NASCAR races are judged by their dramatic endings. But the drama Thursday in the Gatorade Duel 150-mile qualifying races was all about beginnings -- the starting positions earned by small teams and underdogs for Sunday's Daytona 500.

Owner-drivers Joe Nemechek and Robby Gordon were among four drivers who literally raced their way into the 500 field while two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip, former series champ Bill Elliott and fan-favorite brothers Kenny and Mike Wallace failed to make the grid.

"You talk about stress in your life -- oh, my gosh,'' said Nemechek, whose family-owned No. 87 finished 17th in the second qualifying race. "It's just incredible. These races are tough. The only thing we're racing for is two spots to get in, so what a relief.

"There's been a lot of Tums taken this week, I can tell you that. With limited funds, we do a lot. It's a big day to make the Daytona 500.''

Gordon's day was perhaps even more improbable

Bill Elliott to drive for NEMCO at Daytona

Bill Elliott will run the Daytona 500 this year in the #97 NEMCO Motorsports car. The #97 car is owned by Joe Nemechek, who will also run the #87 car in the 54th running of “The Great American Race.”
“I am really excited to be racing with NEMCO Motorsports and Joe Nemechek, who has been a friend and respected competitor through the years,” said Bill Elliott. “This will be a great way to start off the 2012 NASCAR season in Daytona.”
With a past champions provisional in his pocket there is a good chance Elliott will make the race even if his NEMCO equipment is not up the par with some of the other teams in the garage. Terry Labonte is the most recent Sprint Cup Champion who would have to rely on the provisional if he fails to qualify for the race. Labonte will drive the #32 for Frank Stoddard and FAS Lane Racing.
There has been no word on sponsorship for either NEMCO car at Daytona but Nemechek has relied on AM FM Energy with their Wood Pellet Stoves for sponsorship in the past...
