McCoy out, Urrutia in for Bucs

Matt McCoy has been waived and wide receiver Mario Urrutia has been added to active roster. Odds are this is a one week move with Urrutia maybe seeing some time if Bryant can't go. I'd imagine that McCoy is re-signed sometime this year, but it's just a hunch.

LB McCoy Released After Morning Arrest

Crime doesn't pay, and for Buccaneers linebacker Matt McCoy, he found that out Saturday the hard way. The linebacker was arrested earlier this morning on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence, and by afternoon, he had lost his job with the team as he's been released.
McCoy was a 2nd round draft pick of the Eagles back in 2005. He has been in the league for five seasons, two with the Eagles, one with the Saints, back to the Eagles, and now this season with the Bucs. He had played in three games this season, making three tackles. His best year was 06, when in 15 games he made 69 total tackles and had two sacks.

Bucs LB Matt McCoy Arrested Today On DUI Charges

Matt McCoy, a linebacker signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent earlier this year, was arrested this morning on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. Jail records show Tampa police arrested McCoy at 4:11 a.m. at West Paul Avenue and South Sheridan Road, less than 500 feet from his home in the Gandy/Sun Bay South neighborhood. Police stopped McCoy driving a 2008 BMW after seeing the vehicle heading west in the eastbound lanes of Gandy Boulevard, according to an arrest affidavit. McCoy swayed while he was standing, had glazed eyes and the odor of alcohol, the affidavit stated. He refused to undergo field sobriety tests, citing his attorney's advice, the affidavit said, McCoy refused a breath-alcohol test, jail records say.

Why are the Giants Super Bowl champs? Because they draft so well

The draft is so essential to a team's success that its importance can't be undermined. One reason the Giants are Super Bowl champs is because they've been great in the draft. In this article, I compare the Eagles last four draft classes to the Giants to see where the Eagles went wrong.
