Evans joins Maybin, turning pro

FOS has been a busy little thing, hasn't it? Now the site is reporting that Maurice Evans will forgo his senior season, and declare for the NFL draft. If you thought Aaron Maybin made a bad move, this easily trumps that. Evans season was marred from the start, and completely killed by the ...

ME AND THE KIDS!

Yesterday, my teammate Maurice Evans and I took part in this new special event by Converse called "Open Gym". The Open Gym event is a free event kids can sign up for, to come and play against other kids there age. Its was about 220 kids who came out between both morning and afternoon session. All the kids got free uniforms and Converse shoes. Mo and I hosted the event, took part in a Q & A session, and just watched the games... There was a lot of good young raw talent out there... I have an endorsement deal with Converse, so be on the look out for any upcoming ads and gear from us. Shouts out to Sean Davis, Paul J, and the whole staff at Converse for looking out for me and keeping me fresh!!! Ohhhhh yeeeeaaahhhh!!!! I'm just going to keep it brief and to the point. My Cowboys and Sooners looked real good this weekend...

MY FIRST ENTRY

What's up YardBarker family? This is Acie Law #4, point guard for the Atlanta Hawks. Just wanted to reach out and introduced myself to yall with my first blog entry. I'm really excited to share this experience with you guys during the upcoming season.

Our record right now, is 3 - 2 during preseason. I'm playing well and our team is working well together especially with the new key addition of Maurice Evans and Flip Murray to the team. I know yall have notice that I been wearing a protective sleeve on my left arm. Don't worry I'm not hurt, I'm 100% healthy... I just got a new tattoo, so I'm protecting it and letting it heal good... I got some pics to show yall what it looks it.

My personal website will be up very soon, within the next few days, so plz be on the look out for www.acielaw4.com

It's been fun for my first entry, until next time.

Penn State's Evans and Koroma return

Both Rivals.com and Scout.com are reporting today that Penn State's All-American Defensive End Maurice Evans, and one-time starter at defensive tackle Abe Koroma returned to practice Monday. This is fantastic news for Penn State's beleaguered defensive line. From Scout.com:
"Yeah, both Mo and Abe were back today," one observer said. "Who knows how much action they'll see this week [against Illinois]? Depends on the shape they are in and how the coaches ? or at leas...

Evans and Koroma Charged with Possession: Early Reactions

Well, the message boards are exploding since Maurice Evans and Abe Koroma were charged with misdemeanor pot possession today, and the bloggers are slowly--myself included--getting their posts out. Mike over at Black Shoe Diaries, and Adam Rittenberg at ESPN have some of their initial thoughts up, but like the rest of us, are reserving judgment until the real decision gets made--Joe Paterno's punishments. This has the potential to fizzle by the Illinois game, or explode like an atom bomb. ...

MSM Working Hard; All-Americans and Bowl Projections

Yes, it's game week, and with only two more days before football--holy shit, really, you should watch Oregon State Thursday night--the Main Stream Media is churning out readership inflators like Joe Paterno mumbles on-air. Both SI.com and ESPN.com came out with debatable content, SI's All-American team, and ESPN's bowl projections. And before I go any further, PSU is represented well in both.

Poll Results: PSU's Mo Evans leaving early for NFL?

The rumor mill was hard at work this summer, indicating PSU All-American DE Maurice Evans might leave early for the NFL. I'm personally not so sure this will happen, but then again, PSU fans weren't sure if Justin King would stick around. By a very, very slight margin (51%-48%), ZN readers felt Evans will enter the NFL draft following this football season. We can only hope this won't happen.
