College Football Live Going On A 50 State Football Tour

I'm normally against the whole "50 State" tour thing, but when you come up with a new angle like ESPN has in this case, it might actually work. College Football Live is planning on going to each state this Summer, but they'll be doing so with a famous college athlete from that location. Via ESPN PR....Every state has a football story, memorable moment, legendary coach, great players, rivalries, or esteemed high school. ESPN’s College Football Live will offer a daily showcase...

Ainge, Ratliff, Clemens battle might be good…

The Jets have enough holes in this team to fill through the draft and free agency that the quarterback isn?t their most pressing need?despite popular belief. The Rex Ryan led Ravens were able to push through the season with Joe Flacco as their point man. The position in this league has turned ...

Famous Men with Girly Hair and Voices

Thanks to Mark Viviano and Damon "The Bulldog" Yaffe for discussing Brien's post about Joe Flacco and famous unibrows on their midday radio show on 1300 AM and 105.7 FM in Baltimore. I have been quietly seething since that went live, feeling it is unfair to make fun of Joe for a genetic variation. To point out how unfair it was, I feel that I should unveil my list of men with girlish hair and voices, in honor of Steelers safety and frequent deep pass victim Troy Polamalu. Be war...

NFL Week 11 Pick Suggestions

1 Game in 1 game correct. Oh and I'm off the Lions train without Orlovsky. 5. Denver Broncos (+5 1/2) at Atlanta Falcons The Falcons are playing great and just beat up on the Saints last week plus the Broncos run defense is poor, but Cutler is back on a roll and will keep this game close. 4. Indianapolis Colts (-8 1/2) vs. Houston Texans While the Texans should have beat the Colts at home behind Sage weeks ago, the Colts are not the same team. They will at home beat up on the Texans. 3. ...

...Joe Flacco avoids turnovers and the Ravens can control field position. New coach John Harbaugh has this team firing on all cylinders, and a lot of that credit has to go to offensive coordinator and Dolphins pariah, Cam Cameron. KEEP 'EM GUESSING Baltimore's running game is solid. Way too solid. ...

Back to Reality

Alright folks, I'm as happy as any of you that the Ravens won this first game and did so in fairly strong fashion - the defense was superb and the offense did its job.
But I think we need to have a serious talk (everyone: "Okay, Dad") about some of what we saw yesterday. Specifically: this [...]

It's Sorta Like a Quarterback Controversy, I Guess

QB controversy has long been that a difference of opinion can arise with either player getting the nod. But with the collection of unproven NFL quarterbacks in Baltimore, the greatest controversy won't be who is the starter, but how long will it take until Joe Flacco comes in.

Yardbarker interview with Ravens QB Joe Flacco

Joe Flacco spent a few minutes on the phone with the Yard today. I have to admit, as a Ravens fan, I was skeptical of the pick. Especially at eighteen. Not because of Flacco's skill or potential, but because Kyle Boller never amounted to anything more than a career backup. I'm scarred and scared. One thing I do love, though, is Flacco's accent. They'll love him in Baltimore. Nice guy. Hopefully a great QB, too.
