Alex Marvez (FoxSports.com) is reporting that WR Brandon Jones has agreed on a five year deal with the 49ers, worth approximately $16.5 million. Jones has spent the past four seasons with Tennessee. He had his best season statistically last year, catching 41 passes for 449 yards and one touchdown.

Should The Braves Sign Bonds?

According to Sabernomics.com, the Braves should sign outfielder Barry Bonds. Replacing Gregor Blanco or Brandon Jones with Bonds would make the outfield and lineup so much better. Yes the press is an issue, but several players have said that Bonds is a good guy in the clubhouse. The biggest problem of course is Hank Aaron and the homerun issue. Would the fans embrace Bonds as he helps the Braves move closer to the playoffs or will they push him away and turn against the team? Bonds will probably not get picked up this season. But if he were, the Mariners and Braves make the most sense.

The Braves have several key decisions before them as they go into the heart of Spring Training. One of the only starting jobs up for grabs is a slot in the left-field platoon. Matt Diaz will take half of the platoon after batting .338 in the 2007 campaign, and it's a battle between Josh Anderson and Brandon Jones for the other half of the platoon.
