Why Being A Broncos Fan Is Better Than Being A Steelers Fan

Here are 10 good reasons:
1. People from Pittsburgh only know two Hawaiian words: 1. Aloha 2. Polamalu.
2. When Ben Roethlisburger went down on his motorcycle, the thing fans worried about most was his mental capacity dropping to Terry Bradshaw’s level.
3. Kicker Jeff Reed gets angry when he doesn’t see terrible towels in PA bathrooms.
4. The only thing uglier [...]

Yes one day after his arrest for acting like he was 21 again, Jeff Reed said he was sorry for his rather stupid act:
It is believed that Reed — a Steelers captain — apologized for the distraction to his coaches and teammates during the team’s usual Monday meeting. That’s about all he could do at [...]

Jeff Reed Defends His Right To Pee

Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Jeff Reed celebrated Sunday’s victory over the Browns by getting his drink on. Of course, this ended the way Skippy’s drunken escapades usually end. Handcuffs, and not the good kind, for our wayward kicker and embarrassment for the Steelers organization. With his contract set to expire at the end [...]

Kicker Reed Arrested for Public Intoxication

Jeff Reed: Defender Of Public Urination

Now we know the real truth behind Jeff Reed's cop trouble last night, and I owe him an apology. Reed was merely trying to defend his teammate—tight end Matt Spaeth—from police intimidation....after Spaeth was caught peeing in public. According to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, police were at McFadden's, a bar across the parking lot from Heinz Field, when they spotted a man, now identified as Spaeth, standing next to a white SUV and urinating in public. When officers tried ...

Jeff Reed is who we thought he was

It pains me to waste virtual ink on another stupid Jeff Reed story, but I suppose I ought to.
Reed was cited again last night for public drunkeness and some other junk. Matt Spaeth got caught up in the whole think too.
Like BTSC, this is probably the nail in Reed's coffin with the Steelers. I don't think there's anything too terrible with what he's done and he's mostly harmless. It's not like he's out carrying handguns or beating women.
But this type of behavior...

Steelers' Jeff Reed Arrested

Was it inevitable for the infamous party animal to cross paths with the long arm of the law? Perhaps. But it finally happened at around 3 AM this morning at the New Alexandria Sheetz, where Steelers kicker Jeff Reed was cited with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after throwing a tantrum over an empty paper towel machine. Hey, we've all been there. No one wants to resort to using those hot air hand dryers, especially at such a late hour.

It's never good when a player gets arrested, but it's probably better he hit the Sheetz bathroom towel dispenser than some random Yinzer drunk-ordering a Shmuffin and a 64-ounce Mountain Dew. But once again it brings to mind my thought that very few good things happen at 3 in the morning.

Hopefully, the Skipster can put this unfortunate incident in the rear-view mirror and get back to his offseason conditioning program in short order.

Steeler Jeff Reed charged with criminal mischief [Trib]

Send your news, tips, and links to Mondesishouse@gmail.com.
