Bears Updates From 'Round the Web

Happy afternoon folks... there's a little bit of movement going on around the Bears camp this afternoon.
First, on Jeff Dickerson's Twitter page, he's reporting that Pisa Tinoisamoa is back on the practice field. What's interesting though is that he says Pisa had a complete tear of his PCL, or posterior cruciate ligament. Ouch.
Brad Biggs is reporting that former Bears WRs Derek Kinder and Brandon Rideau are having tryouts for NFL t...

        Rideau, Basanez among Bears cuts

Club will keep 6 receivers and 11 defensive backs

Multiple sources confirmed the Bears will release Brandon Rideau, who was battling Rashied Davis and Devin Aromashodu for one of the receiver spots. Rideau had an 18-yard touchdown reception from Brett Basanez in Thursday's 26-23 exhibition victory over the Browns, but that wasn't enough to help him earn a spot on the 53-man roster.

May Brandon Rideau Haunt You In Your Dreams

The world is coming to an end. No, not really, but the decision to once again cut Brandon Rideau goes to show what we already knew: the Bears don’t know anything about wide receivers.
I feel like the Bears had a golden opportunity to make a definitive statement about the direction of the receiving corps [...]

Bears Receivers Bracing For WorstUnless something bizarre happens on Thursday night against the Browns, I think the Bears are pretty set with their receiving corps and my final guess is that Brandon Rideau will be the odd man out. I think the club keeps six on the roster. Hester and Bennett are the starters. Iglesias and Knox are the rookies. Davis is the special teams ace. Aromashodu has developed a clear rapport with Cutler. That leaves Rideau, ...

The Bears already have cut Brandon Rideau twice, but he continues to show his value. Saturday, it was on a 21-yard gain. About 12 of the yards came after the catch despite the fact that three defenders got a hand on him.

Despite the fact that Brandon Rideau has been in the NFL since 2005 and around the Chicago Bears organization for a while, he is yet to make his first catch. Look for all that to change this year. Here is what Rideau told Bear Report after a morning mini practice Wednesday in this exclusive interview.
