Oakland Raids the New York Giants for William Joseph to augment their DT position

"The Autumn Wind is a pirate, pillaging just for fun?" The Oakland Raiders continued pillaging the NFL by signing defensive tackle William Joseph from the New York Giants. Joseph was a first round pick of the G-Men back in 2003 and has played in 41 games, starting the entire 2006 season before going on injured reserve last year. Joseph should join Terdell Sands, Tommy Kelly, Gerrard Warren, and Josh Shaw in the tackle rotation.

Oakland Raiders defensive line's makeover not nearly complete

The Oakland Raiders had the second worst run defense in the NFL in 2007. The unit most responsible for stopping the run is the defensive line. Thus far in the offseason the Raiders resigned Tommy Kelly and let Chris Clemons and Tyler Brayton go. The Raiders desperately need to bring in reinforcements for this unit. Besides Kelly, only Jason Richardson, Terdell Sands, Gerard Warren, and two time Pro Bowler Derrick Burgess are the only defensive linemen on the Raiders' roster who have and NFL game experience. Does anyone have any faith that Josh Shaw is going to come through?
