Steelers WR Shaun McDonald Might Be Hard To Beat Out For No.3 Job

The feeling in Pittsburgh is that ex-Lion Shaun McDonald could be quite tough for second-year pass catcher Limas Sweed and rookie Mike Wallace to...

Joey Galloway to sign with Steelers?

Doom and Gloom last week when Nate Washington walked away and Steeler Nation came to the realization that Limas Sweed was now your #3 WR and one injury to Ward/Holmes would push Sweed into a starting spot and your new #3 WR would be Martin Nance
Well, good news today as Joey Galloway is ...

THE TERRIBLE TOWEL THROUGHOUT HISTORY

This time of year, it seems like everyone's a Steeler fan, from today's pre-game entertainment, (Hank Williams Jr.) to Pittsburgh native Michael Fink waving a gravity-free Terrible Towel in support of the black and gold. As we've seen many times, the Steelers and U.S. Presidents seem to go hand-in-hand with great photo ops. So let us sit back and enjoy this retrospective of the Steelers' support from U.S. Presidents through history, as interpreted by Joe Calinger of Youngstown...

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE

Thanks to the many folks who answered my request for a screen shot of the guy who wore the strange combination of Steeler sweatshirt/Bills hat to the Monday Nighter in Buffalo this week. I was unaware that it actually ran on Yahoo's Shutdown Corner. Now that that's out of the way, I can assume we'll return to debating the wisdom of buying a Limas Sweed jersey at this point in his career. Update: Continuing the debate of rookie wide receiver expectations, here's a very intere...

Fourth WR Spot Somthing to Watch For Tonight

The 4th preseason game is usually a snore-fest, and tonight vs the Panthers should be no exception, as both teams simply want to get out of Heinz Field without any major injuries. There is one thing to look for from the Steelers standpoint, and that is the 4th WR spot. The battle remains [...]

NO RECEIVERS IN ROUND ONE?

With the mediocre 40-yard dash generated by Oklahoma Malcolm Kelly and the ill-advised decision to blame the school for his performance, the receiver whom many thought had the best shot at being picked in round one is now likely to fall out of the first round.

And with Kelly's stock dropping, some league insiders believe that there now could be no receiver picked in round one this year.

Other pass-catchers who are sliding include Limas Sweed of Texas and Early Doucet of LSU.

Total Titans select WR Limas Sweed in Mock Draft

Recently, Total Titans was asked to participate in an NFL mock draft at Sportsprojections.com that consists of the opinions of bloggers who write about their respective teams.

The mock draft is still a work in progress as the bottom-tier of the first round make their selections. I made the Titan selection at pick #24 earlier this evening. As the title of this article indicates, I selected Limas Sweed as the guy who will be picked in the first round by the Titans.

Here is the write-up:
