Hang on to that football, Matt Stewart!!!

That pick will probably be the highlight of Matt Stewart's time with the Cowboys. He got a rebound of a tipped pass.

Steve Octavien, who is only 6-0 tall, got two hands on Vince Young's pass.

Octavien looks like a guy with a good shot to stick on the 53-man roster. He was the first backup OLB on the field tonight and is on several first-team special teams unit.

Special teams debate

In L.P. Ladouceur the Cowboys have one of the best long snappers in the NFL. But he doesn't play another position.

In Matt Stewart, they have a guy with some snapping experience but can also play some linebacker.

Is there a competition there? I don't think so but maybe when you factor in the Cowboys will keep a third quarterback and two kickers on the 53-man roster that changes. Decisions can be difficult when it comes to that sort of thing, which is why if David Buehler can do more...

Cowboys Camp: Things That Make Me Go Hmmm

The league suffered a nasty rash of serious injuries yesterday. Torn ACLs. Torn Achilles tendons. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the good -- for all teams actually -- and tending to some injury business here. My mom is having a shoulder scoped, so I'm not hitting camp until Wednesday.
In the meantime, here are two headlines which have intrigued me.

1. The possible value of Matt Stewart. His name floated under my radar, until I saw t...
