As players and coaches descended to Westminster, Md., for the start of Ravens training camp, the team waived tight end Quinn Sypniewski. The former fifth-round draft pick out of the University of Colorado was coming off a year spent entirely on Injured Reserve, and an offseason setback to the recovery of his surgically-repaired knee didn’t help matters.

Baltimore Ravens Training Camp: Day 5

Overcast skies greeted the fans as they wandered onto the McDaniel College campus this morning. An estimate of the crowd size has them numbering once again above the 3,000 mark for the fifth day in a row. This particular group of fans was extremely boisterous and gave out several rounds of applause for the action from this morning. With the scrimmage against the Washington Redskins tomorrow, the players came in no pads, just shells and helmets to protect their heads and upper body. The lack of pads did not take away from the terrific play on the field, from both the offense and defense. Leading up to training camp, one of the keys we were looking for out of this team in camp, was that of chemistry. How well did the players work together, communicate with each other and inter act with the coaches. The answer to that question started coming together on the first day of camp and culminated with today's session. Yes, it is just the first week of camp and there are two more weeks ahead of the players. However, the atmosphere in Westminster all week, especially today, was jovial as players shared jokes, stories and took shots at other, sharing laughs among themselves and the coaching staff.
