Fan Poll Friday

I’m going to start a new Friday tradition here at ITI. I call it the “Fan Poll.” I have a lot of random thoughts bouncing around between my ears as we inch toward Training Camp 2009. I need your help to decipher them.
Today’s topic is the future of Reggie Brown. The once promising wideout is [...]

If Brown Doesn’t Play; Will He Want Out?

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that wide out Reggie Brown is okay for now, but if he doesn’t start seeing the ball more in Philly, he might start thinking about wanting out. Here is the report:

Reconsidering Reggie

Everyone seems to have written off Reggie Brown. Considering his 2008 disappearing act, it should come as little surprise. A nagging hamstring injury plagued him for months before he was finally benched late in the season. He finished with 18 catches for 252 yards and one score. Poor, to say the least.
Wasn’t this the same [...]

Heckert Says Eagles Will Keep WR Reggie Brown

According to Eagles GM Tom Heckert, WR Reggie Brown will be on the team for 2009. Brown?s cheap $644,000 salary is really the only reason why he will still be an Eagle. He has dropped to No. 6 on the depth chart and won?t see many receptions this year compared to previous years as he [...]

The DeSean Jackson Effect

In my opinion I think the Eagles got very lucky in their drafting of DeSean Jackson. They were drafting a PR and ended up with their #1 wide receiver. In the Reid system rookie WRs don't play, so his impact would strictly come on special teams.Well injuries and Jackson being the best of the WR bunch allowed him to get right on the field. Smart move as Jackson has set numerous franchise rookie receiving records this season. Such luck could be a return favor for the crap WR draft picks of R...

Cardinals not interested in Eagles offer for Fitzgerald

The Cardinals apparently aren't all that enthusiastic with what the Eagles have to offer them for their 2-time Pro Bowl receiver. It is becoming increasingly obvious that the Cardinals won't be able to pay Larry Fitzgerald what he is owed, and unless his contract can be restructured, the Cards will be forced to trade him.

The Eagles have reportedly offered Lito Sheppard and Reggie Brown for Fitzgerald, but the Cardinals aren't biting. They are said to have "little interest...

Getting Better Each Week

It was nice to get away for a few days but it was even better to come back and get a win under our belt. Getting a few guys back healthy was great and I think we will be able to continue to improve on the field as we continue to improve in the health department. Having Tra Thomas and Brian Westbrook back was certainly a boost and I think the absence of L.J. Smith has been overlooked.

I've said for some time now that with this offense everyone will get their chance to shine. I know that Reggie Brown has taken some heat this year so it was nice to see him have a game like he did vs. the Jets. He has continued to work hard.

This week we have the Chicago Bears. They are similar to us in many ways ? they won their division last year, they have just two wins, they have played well enough to win a few others, and they know they can play better. It should be a good game.

Thanks for the positive comments about the ASB. I know I've been blessed and my family and I take pride in being able to help others. In fact, my wife Roxi will be hosting the Philadelphia Community Baby Shower For New & Expected Mothers along with State Senator Shirley M. Kitchen. It will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 11:00am-3:00pm at Temple Children's Medical Center.
Making the Correct Decision (R. Brown or Burress)

This situation came up in one of the drafts that I participated in this past weekend. Which player to select here could make all the difference in the world when it's fantasy playoff time. If McNabb does not remain on the field or Manning finally finds some sort of rhythm this season you could find yourself in a world of trouble if you decide to select Reggie Brown over Plaxico Burress.
