Can the Davidson Wildcats repeat their magical 07/08 season?

Stephen Curry is back for another year, this year as a point guard. Lovedale and Barr are also back. But will the losses of Richards, Sander and Meno be too much for Davidson to overcome?

Stephen Curry Is Coming Back

STEPHEN CURRY IS COMING BACK. I love him as a player and am glad to see him announcing that he will come back to play for Davidson next year. He knows he can develop his game further (mainly bulking up and adding a stronger inside game of dribble drive). This will without a doubt keep Coach McKillop in Davidson who probably would otherwise accept a higher conference coaching job. Davidson will lose PG Jason Richards to graduation which is a loss that will definitely affect the success Davidson can have next year due to his amazing sight of the court and to make the best pass available. Andrew Lovedale, Davidson's main inside threat, will be back next year. He can provide Curry with some assistance in scoring and provide solid rebounding numbers. Do not be surprised if Stephen Curry will play point guard because Davidson has no true point guard on their roster unless they chose to convert shooting guard, a bench player, to the point guard role.

Stephen Curry Wants Facial Hair

In case you missed it, Davidson guard and NCAA tournament titan Stephen Curry made a guest appearance on Conan O'Brien last night. He came off as both confident and humorous, which was made most clear in this clip of him taunting Conan about their lack of facial hair.

Davidson star Stephen Curry returns favor, watches Lebron James play

Lebron James was there cheering when Davidson star Stephen Curry scored 33 points to lead the underdog Wildcats past Wisconsin last week in the NCAA Tournament. On Wednesday, Curry returned the favor, watching Lebron lead Cleveland past the Charlotte Bobcats. Curry talked briefly with Lebron before the game and was congratulated by numerous NBA players and coaches for his performance in the NCAA Tourney. I hate to be a stickler, but...how is Curry and James buddying it up different than Carmelo Anthony giving O.J. Mayo tickets to one of his games?
Cinderella is dead... Kansas outlasts Davidson, 59-57

Stephen Curry couldn't come up with one last big time shot to save his team this time, as the clock struck 12 on the Davidson Wildcats. Kansas held on to a 59-57 victory to advance to the Final Four for the first time under coach Bill Self, and it now marks the first time ever that all four #1 seeds have made it to the Final Four. Stephen Curry had an "off" night, scoring 25 points on 9-25 shooting, while Kansas was led by Sasha Kaun's big work down low and Mario Chalmers. Brandon Rush struggled mightily, scoring only 12 points on 4-14 shooting and was assigned to Curry towards the end of the game. It was a great run by Davidson, and was the only good game of the weekend. Kansas joins North Carolina, Memphis, and UCLA in the historic matchup of four #1 seeds in the Final Four. GO HEELS!

Yardbarker Tournament pick'em coming down the wire

The tournament is now down to the final eight teams and the Yardbarker tournament pick'em league is coming down to the wire. Currently Bob_Sanderz leads the way with 69 points and tedhill is in second place with 67 points. Texasgirl and Dewey are both tied with 66 points good for 3rd place. The key game for the group tonight is Xavier UCLA as Sanderz has Xavier winning the whole thing. While 5 people including np1415 and tcbailey24 who are tied for 5th have UCLA winning the whole thing. It should be a wild finish to the tournament as anybody is in position to win.
