Best/Worst Broncos

Is it just me, or is this the most boring week in the NFL? It feels like the summer has dragged on long enough and we still have the Broncos playing one more preseason game sans starters. Let's get this thing started already!

Nate Webster Is A Daddy’s Boy

The competition for the job at middle linebacker will come down to the wire. Nate Webster and Niko Koutouvides are battling it out here in the Mile High city.
While they are competing for the same starting job, the two players couldn't be more different off the field. Koutouvides is much more reserved than the flashy and vocal Webster. Webster has settled down a little bit since his younger playing days, but he still needs to curb his enthusiasm at times. However, that might be hard for a guy who has a lot to be thankful for. Last January, Webster's father had a major heart attack that nearly killed him.
After spending three months with his father in Florida, Webster came back to work in March fifteen pounds lighter from the stress. He also came back with a new attitude about playing football.
"My dad's been so strong and worked so hard for so many years to be a provider for us. I have never seen him at a weak point, never ever, so to see him down and unconscious, that hit me hard. Right then and there, I just wanted to dedicate and put a lot of focus into getting into the best shape of my life."
That effort has paid off because as of now, Webster is listed ahead of Koutouvides on the depth chart. He hopes that his father will see him start at middle linebacker when the regular season begins. Webster says that he wants his father:
"To see as much of me as he can, whether it's coming to games or practices, or just being around me, period…because I'm a daddy's boy."

Koutouvides Yet to Prove He’ll be a Starting LB

From: Pro Football Weekly
The Broncos paid Niko Koutouvides starter's money when they signed him to a three-year, $7.5 million contract in March. Yet, we hear he hasn't pulled away in the race to become the starting middle linebacker, though Denver would like him to. Nate Webster, who started on the strong side last year, has [...]
