Pacman fallout: Weinke suspended through 2009 season for performance ON the field

Following the Pacman-Henry suspensions and a unanimous vote by all 32 owners (including Carolina), ballsy commish Roger Goodell made a HUGE statement ousting Chris Weinke and his controversial on-the-field issues...

Week 17 Picks...the cross-dressing Chimp...

Well, Christmas has come and gone...meaning we're another week closer to the end of the NFL season. The past week was a wacky wild week in the NFL, where several playoff favorites threw up on themselves, and nobody's arse got crowned. We had some teams back into the playoffs, and we have the real possibility that a 7-9 team could make the playoffs in the NFC...so yes, the NFC is terrible this year, despite all my protests.

Week 16 Picks...do you see what I see...

Every football fan has a football routine...you grab a certain breakfast, throw on a favorite jersey or shirt, have a favorite spot on the coach...know when you'll order food, or make food....have the fridge stocked with beverage of choice...and has the normal invite out to the normal group of friends...

But the holidays come around, and all hell breaks lose with regards to these routines. This in combination with the change in game schedule and the loss of a real urgency due to being knocked from contention (fantasy or real) means that there are a lot of football fans out there that are lost, and searching for meaning...

Sorry Troy, Winning Heisman is like winning WWE King of the Ring, Success Not Guaranteed!

Funny article pegging past Heisman winners as past King of the Ring winners. Here's an example: Mabel as Ron Dayne.

At least if you win the Royal Rumble you get a shot at the title!

Just checked out http://www.heisman.com and its unbelievable how the success at the next level of Heisman winners changed from 1976 to 2001. We went from names like Tony Dorsett, Herschel Walker, Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson (before the hip), Tim Brown, and Barry Sanders to Ty Detmer, Desmond Howard, Gino Torretta, Charlie Ward, Rashaan Salaam and Danny Weurfuel. I can confidently say that no one from 1990 to 2001 will make it to Canton. See for yourself.

http://www.heisman.com/winners/hsmn-winners.html#winners-year

Hopefully, for recent King of the Ring winners, Palmer, Leinart and Bush, Troy Smith, and Ray Rice next year can turn it all around.

Panthers Better Get Delhomme Back on Field

I was watching NFL Countdown, or whatever, and heard a great stat.

Chris Weinke has lost his last 16 NFL starts. This surprises me. How did he ever get 16 starts? Go back to FSU Chris!

If you don't, and you have to play this weekend, you may get tennis elbow. The stats show that he threw 61 times last weekend.

Get Foster back, let DeAngelo run, do something. If they dont Weinke will be 0-17 and in line for the Tommy John surgery.
