Vikings Love What They See So Far from Safety Williams

From: Pro Football Weekly
Having seen him perform in organized team activities this spring and summer, the Vikings feel even more confident that the addition of S Madieu Williams will have a big impact on their secondary. He has come in and shown better range and coverage skills than the man he's replacing, Dwight Smith, which should allow fellow S Darren Sharper to take more chances and not have to spend as much time in coverage.

Madieu Williams is a High-Character Guy

The Pioneer-Press's Bob Sansevere continues his series of introductory interviews with the new Vikings. Last week it was rookie safety Tyrell Johnson…this week it's free-agent signee, and also safety, Madieu Williams.
What pertinent information may we glean from Sansevere's grilling of Williams? He's a religious guy who likes doing charity work (he's inspired by his mother who was a nurse). He also digs older women, as we learn when Sansevere asks him to name his favorite actresses:
Actress? I've got to go for looks. Who draws me in? Halle Berry, definitely. Beyonce. I'm a huge Catherine Zeta-Jones fan. Gwyneth Paltrow.
No Sophia Loren? Faye Dunaway?
He names the Cuba Gooding, Jr./Robert De Niro vehicle Men of Honor as his favorite film. Points for originality if not taste.
Madieu also admits that he's not a good singer:
Simon Cowell would say I'm horrible and "What are you doing in this competition?"
He also believes in ghosts, though he admits he's never seen one. All-in-all, I'd say he's Chilly's kind of guy…solid, upstanding and a bit on the dull side. But who cares if he goes out on Sunday and kicks some.

Giving The Vikings Some Well-Deserved Praise

In 48 hours, the brain trusts of the Minnesota Vikings went from being frequent targets of criticism to deserving of generous praise. The organization came to play in free agency as clearly evidenced by their signings of Bernard Berrian and Madieu Williams, and this has suddenly become a very exciting time to be a fan of the team.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a good offseason

Not long after the clock struck midnight and the free agent period began, the Minnesota Vikings, true to their word, went out and wrapped up a player well worth the 6 year, $33 million contract they gave him.

Under the radar free agents that could help the Titans

As much as we dream of having a Randy Moss or even an Alge Crumpler in a Titans' uniform next season, their will also be lesser known free agents available that are more than capable of providing a positive impact on the Titans' 2008 season.

Here is my list of under the radar free agents that could help the Titans next year.

Complete embarassment - Act I - Scene II

Now this is truly disturbing

Bulger is cleared for practice, but the Rams are being extra cautious with him after he suffered a pretty substantial concussion. Frerotte has very little strength in his throwing arm and has limited range of motion. With me so far? Brock Berlin is getting 0 reps with the starting unit.....
