Kentucky transfer Alex Legion wants to play NAIA schedule

That's the only thing I can think of when reading that Alex Legion, who recently left Kentucky and will transfer, is considering Notre Dame and will visit South Bend on Wednesday.

Mike Brey is a decent coach, but the turtleneck-sporting stooge has put together the worst non-conference schedule I have ever seen. Here is his sked through December:

And it starts now, Illini to pick up Alex Legion?

The other day we blogged on how the Illinois Fighting Illini were about to get a major recruiting boost, and well is it paying dividends already? The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that is he or isn't he Kentucky guard Alex Legion could be transferring to the Illini.

There are many things that could hamper the transfer and bring more bad blood to the already tense relations with the two teams.

Alex Legion: Dont Say Goodbye Just Yet

From the post:

The smarmy Seth Davis is reporting that there is a chance Alex Legion pulls a Joe Crawford and returns to the Kentucky basketball team. Citing the ubiquitous "source", Seth says that Alex is having second thoughts and may rejoin the squad. That would be a good ending for all parties and one to root for. And if so, then two of my least favorite college basketball personalities (Goodman and Davis) will have reported the coming and going of a UK player. Stay tuned…

Alex Legion's Mom is a Control Freak

Kentucky Freshman Alex Legion has decided he's going to transfer at the end of the fall semester (about 2 weeks, tops). This news comes after Coach Billy Gillispie spoke with Legion on Friday about the same subject, to which Legion indicated he wanted to "stick it out." This conversation came after a meeting with Legion and his mother, a noted prophet. Fast forward to Monday evening and we have the news that he is indeed transferring, a move Gillispie seemed surprised by... if you go by forum ramblings.

Alex Legion of UK to transfer

It's official, Alex Legion of the Kentucky Wildcats is no longer a member of the team. He is transferring schools due to personal issues with the head coach. It must be pretty bad in Lexington if you are getting plenty of playing time and for a team who can contend in the future. This is not the first issue a player has had with Coach Gillespie, if only Pitino would have stayed.
