Greg Oden has done a lot of things since he has become a famous basketball player. Unfortunately that doesn't include actually playing basketball. The Muffin has come up with a list of things Oden has more of than games played for the Blazers. 1) Wrinkles on his forehead-The dude looks like a pug in this picture. 2) Blogs on Yardbarker-Keep em coming Greg! 3) Pictures with drunk college chicks on the internet-Love these pictures, makes me envious.

Oregon Mentors Event

Last Saturday I had an event for Oregon Mentors called Greg Oden's Summer Slam, it was a fun event where lots of kids and their mentors came out and just had a fun day. It was open to the public so there was also booths where people can sign up to be mentors. I went to every booth and learned a little about all the mentoring programs that are around Portland, there are some really good ones that need help. So if anyone out there that wants to look into it, believe me there are a lot of kids that need and older influence in their lives thats not their parents. The event also had games like Guitar Hero 3, Pin Pong, Air Hockey, a Shuffle Board, blow up things, and kareokee. People have already seen the video of me singing N'synce "Its Gonna Be Me," im not gonna lie, i sound terrible. My thing was it was for the kids they enjoyed me singing so thats all that matters. Also the court at the Rose Garden was open so i went down and ended the day playing Knock Out with the little kids first then the big kids, and yes I WON, i even dunked on a kid. Dont ask me how in a game of knock out, but i managed. In all it was a fun day and im happy the idea of mentoring and that the mentors and mentees had a fun time out.

The ESPY Awards

Last night the ESPY awards aired, and i was in attendance. I have to shout out my boy David Shottenstein for hooking me up with my suit, and my boy Kenny for cutting my hair, so i was looking good. That red carpet was so hot that i was sweating all through my shirt, so i had to keep my jacket on the whole entire time. Other than that i had an outstanding time. I actually had a performance skit with Justin Timberlake, he is cool. I was playing the piano in a extra small tuxedo, tie and some Elton John Glasses with tube socks. No one knew i could play the piano. I also had a couple of one liners but my favorite is when Will Ferrell said 'I want to be tucked in by Greg Oden and have him tell us stories about the old days.' The ESPYs also gave all the athletes free gifts and i got some really good things. I had a great time being in Los Angeles this past week. The ESPYs allowed me to bring out my brother and cousin to enjoy everything with me. We went to alot of different places all through Los Angeles and i got to take my brother and cousin to places they have never been. We didn't make it to the beach though. So i got to come back sometime soon to do that. I met some good people while i was out there and we had some fun. Here are a few videos from the show See more funny videos at Funny or Die

Yardbarker recently launched a new feature that allows for you to create and submit Top 10 lists to the Yard. Currently we have nine lists from which to choose; however, hopefully soon you'll be able to create custom lists for the Yard. We're working on it. In the meantime, we have a contest taking place this week. Using our new list functionality, submit who you think will be the top 14 picks in Friday's NBA Draft. Whoever gets the most consecutive selections correct (starting with the first overall pick) will win an autographed Greg Oden jersey. Also, we have a new athlete directory in the Yard. Find your favorite athletes' blogs. Even if they're not in the Yard. It's the most comprehensive list that we know of featuring athlete blogs. The list also features RSS feeds whenever available. The Official Greg Oden Nickname Contest

Whats up y'all. As time has gone on, one thing I have noticed about Greg is that he does not have a nickname. I know some of you are saying that we need to wait till he actually plays a game, but we are not going to. The Official Greg Oden Nickname Contest begins NOW! So here is what you win if we deem your nickname the winner. Getting Ready For Basketball Season

Who is ready for some BASKETBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is up with that ref. that Tim donegy. He cheated all of those games and that why the suns lost in the finals against the Spurs. That is totall bull. I think the suns are going to win the championship. Greg Oden is out for the whole season and Kevin derant is going to be a star.

Rookie Photo Shoot

Today was the day that all the rookies in the NBA came together and took pictures and did interviews for the upcoming season. They said that we were going to be in New York City but we ended up in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. We are like 30 minutes from downtown Manhattan. We all came in a day early, well those of us that could have. When i got there, i saw mostly all the people from Topps. It was cool. I got to meet the people who gave me that great card contract. I gave them hugs. So we had to get up at like 8 and we were there till like 7 at night, it was a very long day. I also signed alot of the autographs that i need to do for Topps. It wasn't that bad though. They made it fun for me. They were really cool and they had the tv on with some music. My friend and teammate Josh McRoberts is here in my room right now and he is going to guest write about what his day was like at the T-Mobile Rookie Photo Shoot day, "Whats up everybody in Oden Nation...The Rookie Photo Shoot was definitely a long day, but it was a lot of fun to see everybody in their NBA Jerseys for the first time. We took alot of pictures obviously and did some interviews...most of the questions that I field have to do with the interesting fact that I personally know Greg Oden. The best part of the day for me was trading signed cards with most of the other players...right now its not that exciting, but it will be a cool thing to have a few years down the line when I'm done playing, so at least I can prove to my kids that I knew some of the guys from this years draft class. I can't wait to get back to Portland in late August and get the new season started. Thanks for letting me get a shout out on Greg's blog...if i get some good feedback he might even let me write a sequel." All in all it was a good day, but I'm looking forward to going back home and finally being able to work out which i can on monday. Theres a picture of Josh in my profile, check it out.

GREG ODEN DOESN'T HAVE A "REAL" MYSPACE ACCOUNT!!!

This dude is just another obsessive fan that's misleading all of you! Greg doesn't have a real myspace account and that is a fact...it's pretty messed up that he's putting on a front acting like he's really him (even trying to pimp all these girls too lol and telling him he misses them and such...wow)...I must admit his page is better than the other fakes, but I've even seen him online while i was watching the "real" Greg playing games in the summer league lol! He's even got some of Greg's pics from yardbarker, ask.com.. and other numerous sources and telling everyone that it's the real him b/c they're not professional photos like the other fake sites lol..come on dude get a life!!! You may be wondering what concern I have with this whole issue...well, I am a huge fan of Oden's and I hate for other fans such as myself to be mislead...so for all you fake imposter's get a life and will the real Greg Oden please stand up!!! lol

First blog here. I'm an artist/musician and I originally posted this on my myspace blog. Got a fun Greg Oden experience to share, but I seriously doubt that any sports fans are looking at my myspace. With that, I'm psyched to be here and I hope to post more. Here's the repost: "Just ran into Greg Oden and Josh McRoberts in Tualatin and I kid you not, they were running towards each other doing one of those cheesy, slow-motion, arms-outstretched, goofy hugs like in the movies. At first I'm like, "This is obviously a hallucination due to the extreme case of Blazermania I've been living with." But no, this was for real and I stopped and talked with them for a sec. Oden said, "I'm Josh McRoberts and he's Greg Oden." :) As a Blazer fan who has stuck with this team even through the entire 21 win season, words cannot express how unbelievably awesome and hilarious it was to see this hug...and while I'm on the subject, it's awesome that Greg will be wearing #52. It's like 52 cards in a deck...you see LeBron is the "King", but Oden is the entire freaking deck. LeBron is about to get trumped."

Just About Ready To Shine

Hi again all Yard Barkers. I know it has been about 2 weeks since my last post, but my rehab program has been pretty crazy. Before I go on, I want to thank everyone who supported me on my last post. With your support, my workouts have been taken to a new level and I put more energy into my normal day-to-day stuff. I know things have been pretty exciting this week at yard barker with the NBA Draft coming up. I wish fellow Yard Barkers, Greg Oden and Micheal Conley, Jr the best of luck coming up, and I hope everyone gives them their best. So far my rehab has been going well. I have had good bullpen and regular throwing sessions. My last bullpen session was pretty successful. I feel like I am back to throwing at 100 percent. I was 87 - 91 mph in the 25 pitch pen session. The next day, I woke up with a little soreness, but came out and threw well once again. The rehab process has been getting faster and faster. Every time i throw, my arm keeps getting stronger. It will be a couple of weeks before I join a team and start putting some stats up, but I am very excited for the near future. My agents at Dynasty have also been in contact with some teams as of late, and it sounds like there is good news on the horizon. I also want to take this time to ask bloggers what they would like to see athletes do as far as charities are concerned. I know that it is very important to me to give back. I feel that everyone deserves a chance to live out their dreams, and when I sign a contract (soon), I would like to be charitable right away.

A trip to Memphis

I just got back home from my first workout with the Memphis Grizzlies. I had a great time in Memphis especially since i got to see some of my family that lives there. On the way to the airport something crazy happend to me. I was listening to this song called "jokes on you" which is on the new cd by "Fabolous," when out of no where it sounded like he said my name. I sat there for a minute and thought to my self that i didnt just hear what i thought i heard. So i rewinded it a couple of times to make sure and i found that he definately used my name in the song. I never thought that my name would ever be used in a song, especially not one by Fabolous. The first person that i called was Greg Oden so i could brag to him haha. He didn't believe me until he heard it for himself. After i got to memphis i got to spend some time with my family and then i went out to eat with a couple of people from the Grizzlies organization. The workout was held the next morning. It was pretty much what i had expected. We did alot of shooting drills and ball handling. I was a little nervous at first when i saw Jerry West walk in the gym, but after getting to know him i settled down a bit. I felt that i had a pretty good workout. I actually learned alot while i was there. Now im looking forward to the next couple of workouts to see what i can learn from them.

Officials lack guts to call intentional foul on Oden!!

Ohio State's Greg Oden clearly committed an intentional foul with 10 second left in the game, but the officials lacked the guts to make the call which cost Xavier the game!
