The Orioles bats came through on Sunday, and Jeremy Guthrie delivered on the mound throwing seven shutout innings to defeat the Rangers, 7-0. With the 'B' team on the field in yesterday's game, Chad Moeller came through with a 2-for-4 say with two RBIs, and Ty Wigginton had three hits. WALKING FINE LINE Orioles pitchers issued eight walks, and half of those base runners came around to score. Four of the walks were handed out by starter Rich Hill, who lasted 5 1/3 innings. Matt Albers relieved him and surrendered two walks in two-thirds of an inning. Chris Ray then entered a tie game with the bases loaded and no outs in the seventh inning and walked the only two batters he faced, bringing in two runs.

Sure, that would have meant the Orioles had lost the lead and Jeremy Guthrie's perseverance after an ugly first inning would result only in a no-decision.

The Miguel Tejada trade looks smarter and smarter every day. Terrell Suggs is playing nice and attending minicamp even though he's been franchised and isn't under contract. Steve McNair is hanging up the cleats and freeing up some cap space. All in all it's a rare great day to be a Baltimore fan.
