In 2001, Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling were 1-2 in the majors in ERA finishing w/ a 2.49 and a 2.98 ERA, respectively. Despite the fact that Johnson was quite clearly the best pitcher in the majors in ’01, Schilling started game 1 of the playoffs against the Cards. Yeah I was looking for my(okay me AND my brother's) old collection of baseball cards since I couldn't find them under my bed. However, what I DID find was something even more epic.
