Celtics trade rumor update

Yesterday, there was a story here in Phoenix talked about on KTAR sports-talk radio about a possible deal involving Rondo and Allen. The host of the show has posted the story, which you can read here. Here's an excerpt:

It's no secret that the Celtics like Stoudemire, they are one of about 10 teams that have shown interest in the power forward. And it's no secret that the Suns will be shopping Stoudemire hard once the NBA Finals are over.

The Suns have no intention of giving Stoudemire a contract extension of which he is eligible for this summer and they certainly don't want to let him walk after next season when he has the right to opt out of his current contract. So Stoudemire will be dealt and there will be some good deals on the table to give STAT a new address. The Celtics will show interest and could put together some enticing packages. But it is unlikely that Stoudemire will be wearing green next year.

Well, based on those comments, this was all purely speculation and nothing more. Still, I think a deal like this is possible and probable, and won't be the last time we hear some rumors like this.

Let's conveniently ignore the fact that the Suns recent wins have come against the Clippers (twice) and Thunder, because it's too much fun having THE PHOENIX SUNS back in our lives! (I capitalize because I care). Leandro Barbosa (2.08) exploded for a career-high 41 points off 16-21 shooting, adding 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 6 steals and 5 threes in 42 minutes on the court.

The Suns overcame a season-high 27 turnovers (9 by STAT and 6 by Nash) to beat the Sonics in Seattle, 110-98 or, in the words of Steve Nash "We were just sloppy and tired and I think everyone wanted it to be easy". It was not of course. Seattle had the lead, for the first time in the game, 78-77 in the third quarter but an 11-0 run by Phoenix, sparked by Raja from the perimeter, re-established the situation for the Suns.

Biggest Loser: With 1 point off 0-6 shooting in 23 minutes, Michael Finley's (1.3) game was really, really bad. But if we're looking for someone with fantasy relevance, than the worst of the night goes to Leandro Barbosa (1.9). Barbosa, who was probably nervous playing in front of the sexy Cindy McCain, shot 3-13 and finished with a line of 10/4/0 in 28 minutes.

Last weekend at the Steve Nash Charity Classic the Phoenix Suns backcourt team of Nash and Barbosa proved to be more then just a duo on the court. My only problem with this clip is the fact that they did this at a charity event. I'm not sure what it was benefiting but haven't these people if they need charity suffered enough where they don't have to listen to this?
