Ricky Davis or Al Thornton?
LAST SEASON

The Clippers were a miserable 23-59, and missed the Playoffs for the 10th time in 11 years. Of course, it didn't help that Elton Brand missed 90% of the season. How bad were they? The Clips finished 27th in rebounds (40.1), 28th in threes made (4.3), 29th in 3P% (32.4%), 29th in FG% (43.8%), and 29th in scoring (93.8).
OFFSEASON MOVES

Key Additions: Baron Davis, Marcus Camby, Ricky Davis, J. Williams, E. Gordon, B. Skinner, J. Hart

There are mixed messages being reported about Andre Iguodala having signed a big new contract. ESPN has reported that Andre Iguodala will return to the Sixers with a six-year, $80 million contract. Reports are that after weeks of negotiations, Iguodala was ready to take the qualifying offer and become a free agent next season and the Sixers quickly upped their offer so as to keep their young and talented forward. However, the Philly Daily News is reporting that they're still negotiating a...

...you're Stephon Marbury and you check out ESPN.com this morning, only to find the following headline:

"Goodbye Marbury? Knicks to sign guard Roberson"

Now it wouldn't be so bad if that headline read any of the following:

Important Fantasy Lines: March 12

If each night one had the time, energy and will to look through every NBA stat line, one might be very successful at fantasy basketball. One would be able to pick up emerging studs, drop eventual duds and monitor those ify suds. Unfortunately, a manager rarely has the time to do this, but here at Fantasy Basketball Pros we care about you, so we look through all the lines and tell you in summary form what you really need to know. Here are the most telling fantasy lines from Wednesday.

The Fantasy Basketball Stock Watch

The end is near . . . that is the end of the Fantasy Basketball season. Now is the time to make some final adjustments to your roster for the stretch run. Hopefully, you are still in contention and have not turned your attention to Fantasy Baseball quite yet. Remember, there is still a month and a half left on the basketball schedule. That is plenty of time to make a move in your Fantasy Basketball standings

Nets, Clips, JKidd's 93rd Triple D, and the need to get that old winning magic back!

December 11, 2007 - The Los Angeles Clippers at the New Jersey Nets in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The first full 07'-08' game that I finally found the time to watch and sadly, it was ugly.

The Nets missed 15 straight shots in the fourth quarter before "garbage time" set in with Jason Kidd getting points number 10 and 11 in the process.

That was basically the highlight of the game. Kidd's opportunity to record his second consecutive triple-double and sixth of this young NBA season.

It looked good in the start. He had 8 assists. 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assists at the end of three. And the difference in the fourth (Kidd finished with 11 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds).

*sigh*

These Nets are certainly a far cry from last year's squad.

Maybe they need to take a page out of the Los Angeles Clippers playbook and "dig in deep" to find something that can motivate them.

The Clips, though last in their division, could have just thrown in the towel this season after Elton Brand tore his Achilles heel and Sam "I Am" Cassell managed to get hurt again. But with the spirited play of Chris Kaman, and new comers Ruben Patterson and Dan Dickau...they give a good give it their all "night-in-and-night-out."

Wake up New Jersey!

You have a full compliment of players and none of them have any significant injury!

There is still time.

But you have to start somewhere.

Why not now?

Zeke Nabs Zach: Randolph to the Knicks

You can say this about Isiah Thomas: He doesn't do things half-way. As has been the case with the majority of Zeke's moves as general manager of the Knicks, this could be one of the best deals of this NBA offseason or one of the absolute worst. Unfortunately for Knicks fans, more often than not Isiah's wheelings and dealings have blown up in his face.

In this latest blockbuster, the Knicks are acquiring a monster in the paint with a spotty record off the court. Whether Zeke can get the 25-year old problem child to straighten out his life and focus on basketball is just one of the hurtles the Knicks will have to clear in the wake of Randolph's acquisition. The other, and perhaps more significant, is whether there's enough room in the paint for both Randolph and Eddy Curry to coexist. The team faced similar questions when Steve Francis was first acquired to play in the backcourt with Stephon Marbury, and the experiment turned out to be a disaster.

While I'm not convinced the Knicks are facing similar ruin in this instance, Knicks fans should brace for some major growing pains as these two young big man adjust to one another. The odds are certainly against it, however there is potential here for a dynamic frontcourt unparalleled in the Eastern Conference, if not the league.
