The Hornets have signed 25-year old forward Ike Diogu to a 1-year deal. Diogu played in 29 games (1 start) last season for the Blazers and Kings averaging 7.4 minutes, 4.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.1 assists per game. He has now played in 187 games (18 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 12.4 minutes, 6.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game. Diogu should really help the Hornets with some muscle off the bench. The Hornets have really improved the front line this off season.

Look who's still in the NBA! That's right - our main man, Ike Diogu, just signed a contract with the New Orleans Hornets! Rumors from around the league are suggesting that – in the wake of the Chandler/Okafor deal – that free agent Ike Diogu may be New Orleans’ next prospect. Diogu played for Portland last year appearing in only 29 games, but averaged 9.2 ppg and 3.9 boards per 14 minutes over a ten-game stretch.

This isn't the first time his name's come up... but the Celtics are apparently one of 10 teams that have shown at least some interest in Ike Diogu.I think Ike's a back up plan in case someone tosses a full MLE at Baby. I don't expect to see him in Green.
