The Beginning

I'm really looking forward to this week because so many people have viewed the new website I'm working on, www.texas360now.com, making it an early success. I'm hoping some of you in the yard will head over and check it out. It's a site focused on Texas sports and the athletes from there, including high school kids, college guys, and pros. We'll have more athletes that will join the site shortly, so stay tuned for that. As for myself, its about getting better during the off-season. I will focus more on my conditioning this week by doing more running and playing in more pickup games.. I started summer Pro-Am league in Houston which has similarities to NBA style games. I play twice a week there. Very excited that I have to continue to prove the doubters wrong by showing all my talents. The fans of the site will watch my journey.

What's happening everyone? Sorry it took awhile to get back to the yard, and thanks to everyone who gave me a warm welcome. Been working a lot of good ideas that I will be bring to the internet within the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for some new videos that I'll be giving everyone a glimpse of the NBA lifestyle during the off-season. Also been fun watching the NBA playoffs, which has to be considered one of the best years of playoff matchups and series in a long time. Now that the finals are set, it's going to be interesting to see how the Lakers and Magic match up. I think we'll learn a lot after game one, in terms of who is covering who and where the mismatches are. Who do you think is going to be crowned champs? Series MVP?

I'm also getting ready to get back into the gym to start building on my game for next season. Putting in the work now, so i'll be in top shape and playing at a high level when camp tips off. I will be spending a few days in Austin working out with my fellow longhorns coming up. Guys like LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Durant, DJ Augustin, Royal Ivey, and some others. It's always good to get back to the roots and hoop with those guys. Look out for some video coming up so you can check out what our workouts look like.

What's up to the Yard!

What's up to everyone in the Yard? I'm very excited about joining the Yardbarker community to connect with all the basketball fans out there. This will be the 1st time in my professional career that I will be opening the doors to my world to let u in with things like blogs and videos, so stay tuned. As I'm a little new to this whole thing, suggestions about what you guys want me to write about and discuss with you all are more than welcome.

This will be my 7th season coming up and I really feel that this will be the year for me to shine bright. I feel like I took enough time off to let my mind, body, and soul heal now its time to get back to business. I'm going to be working out this summer at the University of Texas with guys like LaMarcus Aldridge, Dj Augustin, and Kevin Durant to help keep my game sharp. I want to be in top form when I get back to Indy, so I'll be getting after it hard this summer. Last season wasn't what we had hoped for, but 2009 is a new year, and we'll give it all we got. What do you guys think we have in store for us this year?

ESPN.com is reporting that the Raptors and Pacers have agreed to a trade that would send Jermaine O'Neal to Toronto for T.J. Ford, Rasho Nesterovic and the #17 draft pick.
