BREAKING: Manu Ginobili Will Miss Rest of Season and Playoffs

InsideHoops.com is reporting that the Spurs have announced Manu Ginobili will miss the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs with an "increased marrow edema and a stress fracture in his right distal fibula."

This is obviously a big blow to the Spurs' chances at winning a title this year in a strong Western Conference.

Ginobili played in the Spurs' game Sunday against the Cleveland Cavs but felt stiffness in his right leg. He returned to San Antonio for an MR...

When his playing career is over, Manu Ginobili will be remembered for two things : being a Team USA killer in his international career and being a Los Angeles Lakers killer in his NBA career.

Why Manu Ginobili will break ankles until he's 40

There's something in the water in San Antonio. How else do you explain these ridiculous numbers for Manu Ginobili in his first two games back?

Game 1 : 11 minutes, 12 points, 4 rebounds
Game 2 : 18 minutes, 15 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block

This is some ridiculous production : Manu is scoring about a point a minute, and he is shooting 67% from the field. Also, in each game back, Manu is 5-6 from the free throw line.

What is remarkable is how Manu is doing it des...

Why Must the Olympics Ruin Everything: Manu Ginobili Goes Under the Knife

Hopefully, you can wait for more information regarding Manu before your draft, but knowing the little we know now, I'd stay away from Ginobili in most drafts, unless he falls multiple rounds from where he should go. The risk associated with Manu's ankle override's his sixth man awesomeness.

Manu Ginobli needs to have surgery

Okay, I guess he kind of has to after basically being injured and proceeding to play in the Olympics. According to the AP via Yahoo, it sounds like he'll need the same kind of surgery that Monta Ellis already had. I guess we'll have to wait for an official prognosis before we adjust the Big Board (where he is currently ranked at 22.50) again. I can't see him dropping out the Top 100 Fantasy Basketball Players if he has surgery soon, but the longer he waits, the more his value will drop. Like I said, more analysis when we have a prognosis.

Do the Spurs qualify as a dynasty?

Granted, they're not as important as the Lincoln-Douglas debates, but as long as there have been barstools, there have been men sitting on those stools arguing about sports. This week, John Paulsen and Anthony Stalter sit at a virtual bar and debate whether or not the San Antonio Spurs qualify as a dynasty. Take a seat, order a beverage and feel free to give us your two cents.

Anthony: The first thing anyone looks at when considering whether or not a team should be viewed as a dynasty ...
