A win is a win is a win. The Suns performance tonight through 3.5 quarters was nothing to write home about. But led by Amare Stoudemire's 21 rebounds, and Steve Nash's 32 points, along with some timely 4th quarter shooting by Channing Frye, the Suns came out on top with a 115-107 victory against the Sacramento Kings to keep ...

3 Minutes 57 Seconds that Lost the Game for the Suns

Sports are a funny thing. Sometime it comes down to one play. A game of inches. A buzzer beater. And sometimes you get run out of the gym from the opening tip which is what happened to the Suns Tuesday in New York.
This game had a strange flow to the opening quarter which on the surface looked like it was completely dominated by the Cavaliers. They out-scored the Suns 33 to14. Shot 52% to the Suns 30%. Out-rebounded Phoenix 19 to 7 and scored 18 of their 33 points in the paint.

Hey, we're 16 games into the season, which means it's time for our not quite 20% check-in. Again, I'm reserving a lot of make or break judgment until we're at Gentry's suggested 25-game mark for evaulating the team (Hint: we might make kind of a big deal about that around here.). &nb...

At 11% TRB%, Grant Hill is a top 25 NBA rebounder

At 11% TRB%, Grant Hill is a top 25 NBA rebounder
If Amare plays, he is 14.8% on his career, with a shocking 9% on the offensive glass. In his best year, 2006-07, Amare got 13.6% of his offensive rebounds and 21.7% of his defensive ones for 17.8% TRB% overall. Don't tell me Amare can't rebound if he wants to. Lou Amundson rebounds at a 15.2% clip. Frye only 13.6% and with -3.3 PER compared to Amundson.

Grant Hill really doesn't care about winning a championship. That's how I interpret the latest news surrounding the free-agent forward (via Mark Murphy - Boston Herald):The Celtics’ obvious edge over the Knicks and Suns - their chances
of winning another NBA title - may not play a deciding factor in the
chase for Hill, who professed a strong affinity for the Knicks and New

Grant Hill all but assured Phoenix media he was coming back. That was at the end of the season. Now with Shaq gone and after hearing the Suns plans straight from Kerr he's meeting with other teams. This tells me that the Suns will be blown up in the coming weeks.

Phoenix Suns guard Grant Hill, he of Duke and “the next Jordan” fame, made one of his occasional appearances on the DAN PATRICK SHOW, but the cameo brought out some surprisingly good dirt.
Happy Holidays!

What's good YB family? I know it's been a minute since I've been on, but things have gotten pretty crazy! I hope you all had GREAT holidays with your family! I know mine was exactly what I needed.

A few day's before Christmas, my partner Joe Walters, my younger cousin and I had one of our Run N' Gun Lacrosse Camp's in M ichigan which was one of my most enjoyable camps yet (which I'll explain later). Camp was Saturday and Sunday, and then Sunday night, I flew into ATL. My sister Kia (the one who made the video of her wack secret move) moved down there about a month ago, so I hadn't seen her or my niece Sage since! When I got to the airport in Michigan, I had a feeling things were going to go a bit south because of the weather, and the fact that it was the day before Christmas Eve. My flight was delayed a good 3 hours or so, the airport was filled with screaming/crying babies, and it was awesome! As miserable as everyone was about their flights being delayed/canceled, everyone was in the holiday spirit and it was a pretty cool atmostphere. Now, with that being said I couldn't have been happier to get on my plane and leave that place!

When I landed in ATL my sister and father picked me up at the airport and we went back to my sisters beautiful house and hugn out for a few hours, then called it a night.

It was definitely a bit different spending Christmas in ATL, simply because every Christmas up until this point has been spent at my parents house, but with my sister having the little one (she turns 2 in Jan!) and work on the 26th (She's a Midwife), it would have been too difficult to get to Baltimore and back. It was an amazing 4 days with my family, definitely something I've been waiting for for awhile. I made sure to hook the family up with some hot nike gear and I made sure Sage stay's rockin Jordan's! I got some pretty hot stuff from my family as well, but the best present was definitely being able to spend 4 days with them messing around and catching up with out a doubt.

Back to the camp in Michigan for a second. I've done A LOT of camps in my lacrosse career and gotten to a lot of different places, but It ruly believe these kids in Michigan that Joe and I are fortunate enough to work with are different. Then NEVER complain, they always say 'yes sir' or 'no sir' and most importantly, they work EXTREMELY hard. Those kids were absolutely exhausted at the end of camp, and it's because they put everything they had into every drill we did. During one on one's, we had too little guy's almost get in a fight! Not because they hate each other or were trying to hurt each other, but because their emotions were running high, and they were competing, it was incredible. They hugged right afterwards, and then went right back at each other the next time it was their turn. Not only are they hard workers and good lacrosse players, but their great people, and they made the camp last weekend one of the most enjoyable I've had the opportunity to be a part of. We've got another camp in Michigan in the summer time, so hopefully the kids come back.

Anyone got any exciting new years eve plans? Any exciting new years resolutions? Write in and let me know what they are! I've got a few myself, but I'll hold on to mine for now.

As for the day, it's going to be a pretty busy one. I've got to head over to the gym in a few minutes, then head up to the mall for a bit to pick up a few things, then start packing up my house for the move out west, then out to the girlfriend's house for dinner, and then home in bed! It's going to be a long one, but productive.

Oh yeah, is it making anyone else feel great to watch Grant Hill play basketball? I coouldn't be happier for the guy. He's healthy, playing well and looks like he's extremely happy, so keep doing you're thing Grant.

I'm reading a good book right now called Five Good Minutes, by Jeffrey Brantley and Wendy Millstine...It's a good one, you should check it out. It talks about way's to keep your focus all day long and things of that nature, it's pretty interesting.

That's about all I got for now, I'll get at you all soon.
