Sacramento Kings Dunk Mix

Kings had some sick dunks this year, and if you don't like Brendan Haywood after his flagrant against LeBron, wait til' the end of the video. Him, Tim Duncan, Lamar Odom, Shane Battier, Kelenna Azubuike, Darko Milicic, C.J. Miles, all woke up on the wrong side of the highlight reel.

Kings Edge Hornets 94-91, Shift the West

Better late than never. The Kings took the season series 2-1 and Artest was the big hero from deep in the end, hitting 4 clutch 3 pointers to help the Kings knock the Hornets out of first place for the second time. The Kings are doing their part in the playoffs, even though they aren't in it.

The Kings, led by John Salmons took the season series 3-1 and handed the Blazers one of their more dismal road losses of the year, and Josh McRoberts made an appearance.
Plus, in honor of Brad Miller undergoing surgery, the team wore headbands. Check out the pics in the comments.

Fantasy Basketball Post-Season Awards

I just want to start out by saying that this has been the worst fantasy basketball season ever. While the actual NBA season has been a treat, and numerous breakout players have emerged, I'm mired in injuries that would bring the healthcare industry to a halt if all of my guys were treated at once. Injuries come at me clandestinely when I least expect it. As soon as one of my players gets healthy, another misses a game out of the clear blue sky. Over the past several weeks, my team that already had Gilbert Arenas and Jermaine O'Neal on it has had to contend with random DNPs from the likes of Gerald Wallace, David Lee, Rafer Alston, Beno Udrih, Brandon Roy and Tim Thomas. Yes, I was counting on Tim Thomas. And not only did these guys all crap out at various points of the last month, I never found out about their absences until after I started them - or, conversely, never had them in my lineup when they returned. I could never find any information on them. I don't even think their wives knew they were hurt.

Nuggets Stunned in Loss to Kings 118-115

Even though Melo dropped 47 points, 21 in the 4th quarter, that couldn't stop the Kings, playing without 3 starters and their top scorer playing sick, from feeling a mile high after holding off Denver for their 36th win. The Nuggets could lose the 8 spot if the Warriors win today.

Artest, Martin Fuel Kings Past Rockets 99-98

The Kings played spoiler for a night, denying the Rockets their 50th win and a tie for 3rd place in the West with the Lakers. Instead they stay in 6th place, diminishing their chances for the Southwest division title and homecourt advantage. Great game to watch all the way down to the end.

The 411 on Fantasy Basketball: Top Fantasy Performers

With this week having been highlighted on my calendar since last April, I've dubbed it the
"Sportal Alignment" period. Like many astrologists and zodiac experts will refer to as
Planetary Alignment, in late March and early April we reach a nexus in sports almost like
no other time period during the course of the year.

Everyone truly has something going on this time of year… Baseball lovers have renewed
hope that another Spring Training brings and MLB's Opening Day; Pro Basketball fans
have the precursor to the NBA playoffs, where every game becomes more valuable down
the stretch en route to the playoffs; Of course the Fantasy Basketball playoffs are in full
swing; Potential NFL stars of tomorrow have gritted their way through another Combine,
and the NFL Draft is so close you can smell the vendors grilling up a storm outside MSG;
And last but not least, my focus for Fantasy Ballers this week, the NCAA Basketball Tournament !

2008-2009 Fantasy Basketball Mock Draft Part II

Desperate to move on from the 2007-08 season as soon as possible, Jeff Andriesse and Greg Fox summoned all of their friends for a marathon 2008-09 NBA Mock Draft. What becomes apparent is they have pulled off the earliest mock draft in internet history. Also they have no friends. Jeff took the odd numbers, Greg the evens, and they went toe to toe for 10 rounds. Here are Rounds 6-10.

Day 144 of 170: Mike Miller Uses the Power of the Headband for Good

Line of the Night: Mike Miller (9.4) had a spectacular game, scoring 34 points while shooting 12-16 from the floor and hitting 7 threes. He also had 7 boards, 4 assists, and a steal and block apiece. But don't get too excited Mike Miller owners, the game came against – surprise, surprise - the New York Knicks, who allowed Memphis to score 120 points.

The Kings were hot, the Blazers were not. The Kings are playing with their newfound philosophy called "L.A. Energy." Treat every team like they're the Lakers. Plus, I'm calling out Lamar Odom's big mouth for calling the Kings a high school team when he can't back himself up.
