"I'm the Forward... He's the Guard." In any other NBA Team that quote would be true. Not in Nellie's system. Still confused about yesterdays starters, Mikki Moore over Anthony Randolph? There was that miss match that didn't seem to work against Chris Kaman. Oh well, hopefully this Will Smith parody gives people something to smirk at!

What to Do With Anthony Randolph?

The guy who should know, his coach, doesn’t seem to have a clue. (Here’s a crazy idea, Don: play the guy): “Randolph is listed at 6-foot-11 but says he’s closer to 7- foot. He once was considered the team’s long-term solution at power forward, and many believed that he could develop into a ‘3′ with his assortment of skills. No one seems to know what to make of the second-year player anymore. ‘He’s probably taller than anybody I’ve go...

Comments from the Other Side - Raptors 10/18

Raptors fans are enthusiastic about their team. For the first game between these two teams, the game thread was over 100 pages. For a preseason game!! This one was a little more reserved at over 40. But I think they are getting a bit discouraged with their team judging from the comments that started out predicting a win and deteriorated into our teams suck. One thing is for sure... there is never a shortage of good comments from the other side when we play the Raptors...

Mikki Moore – Ronny Turiaf Sr. :: 2009-2010 Golden State Warriors Player Recap and Previews

Mikki Moore's player preview for the upcoming year can be summed up by this clip:

In all fairness, and I'll be honest, I don't know much about Mikki Moore so he may be more than poster fodder for this upcoming season. What I do know about him after the jump.

Here's what I know about Mikki Moore:

I know that if I squint hard enough, I can see a Latrell Sprewell resemblance - which makes me want to give Nellie a permanent neck ...

If you ever wondered why Mikki Moore failed with the Celtics last season...this is why. Watching the video, I'm not sure whether Shannon Brown bowled Moore over or if a stray breeze knocked Mikki down. Thanks to Wild Yams for the link.

Shannon Brown posterizes Mikki Moore

What a way to announce to the world that the NBA is back in season. It might only be the preseason, but Shannon Brown’s dunk over Mikki Moore might end up being the dunk of the year. It leaves me pretty much speechless.

Mikki never wanted to come to Boston

Apparently, leaving a last place disaster to come to Boston for a chance at a ring was very difficult for Mikki Moore.
"It was tough," Moore said of the transition. "I had to leave Sac. To
this day, I still do feel like they're my brothers. I've never walked
out on anyone when the times get hard, and we were struggling.

Actually, that's honorable. But he really makes it sound like he was never really into the move.
"It was very difficult," Moore countered. "But God works in mysterious
ways. It taught me a lot. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I'm
trying to bring forth that and what I've learned from that situation to
the Warriors."

Maybe this had something to do with it:
Moore signed a three-year, $18 million contract with the Kings in the
summer of 2007, by far the biggest contract he has received during his
NBA career. But the last year wasn't fully guaranteed. So when the
Kings waived him, there went $4 million.

Ah... bingo. I'd be crying about the move too if it cost me $4 million.

Can you imagine paying $4 mil. for the level of play we saw at the end of last year? Wow.

You all said we didn't make any offseason moves.
BRING IN MIKKI MOORE!
The ex-Celtic, ex-Net, ex-Sactown King, ex-man he was on a ton of teams and I don't want to list them all, is now joining our squad.
Jump for some quick thoughts...

"Looking to add beef" is what the new GM Larry Riley exclaimed earlier this offseason.
Does a 7 foot, 225 pound, 11 year veteran fit that role?
I'm sure in Nellie and Riley's world it does.&nbsp...

Moore is not Enough: Cavs Take 3-1 Lead Over Nets

Mikki Moore scored a career playoff-high 25 points on 11-14 shooting but he also delivered a flagrant foul that seemed to rouse a previously dormant Cleveland Cavaliers team and perhaps propelled them to an 87-85 victory over the New Jersey Nets. The Nets now must win three straight games--starting with Game Five in Cleveland on Wednesday--to avoid elimination from the Eastern Conference semifinals. LeBron James had 30 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for Cleveland. He shot an excellent 9-16 from the field but just 10-15 from the free throw line, including two misses in the last 3:32 that could have been costly; in the last 1:09, he shot 1-2 from the free throw line and missed both of his field goal attempts.
