Comments from the Other Side - Nets 11/7

You have to feel for Nets fans. With the team dressing just 8 players, their team played with heart and never gave up, but at the end of the game, they were still 0-7.

We might go 0-82. Yeah, we might. One night we score 68 pts, the next night we give up 124 pts... We're just godawful. #1 pick here we come!!

I say 10-72.

But LeBron will come right?

Nets suck...just sayin.

This is going to be a ugly game. I hope the Nets could prove me wrong.

Can all the player...

The Nets are traditional rivals of the Celtics as we think back to the 2002 Eastern Conference Finals where the Nets defeated the Celtics in a hotly contested 6 game series. The Nets have fallen on hard times and this season are just marking time until th...

Game Notes: Nets at Sixers

By Jake Appleman/@JakeAppleman
With the circus arriving–an unnecessary parade that pretends to look into the future while diminishing the integrity of the acrobatics we love–it seemed like a good night to take in a game that nobody’s paying attention to. So Ben Couch of the Nets and I jetted down to the Turnpike for the latest installment of NY metro area team vs. Philly team. Here’s how it went down.
–I found out that Rutherford, New Jersey is a real place. I&#8...

Tri-State Vengeance: Sixers Look to Take Out City's Frustrations on Nets

New Jersey may not have asked to get in the middle in the tug-of-war between Philadelphia and New York these past few weeks, but hey, no one invited them to the Interstate. Tonight, an ailing sports city casts their eyes to the city's pro basketball team--well, some of them might, anyway--to help lift their spirits after the Phillies' unfortunate vanquishing at the hands of the Bronx Bombers. The Nets seem like a good team to regroup against, especially with the team's lone All-St...

Andray Blatche looked more comfortable than he ever has in a Wizards uniform en route to a new career high 30 points and a Wizards 123-104 win against New Jersey. Sure, he had Yi Jianlian and Eduardo Najera guarding him. But Wiz fans are used to Blatche being his own worst enemy, and not necessarily [...]

Najera’s Road Back

Eduardo Najera is the Nets’ forgotten man.
After missing two-thirds of the season to various injuries, the last a sports hernia that required season-ending surgery, Najera is on the comeback trail, he hopes.
The trail will be, to continue the cliché, long and winding. After spending most of the summer rehabbing and giving anti-drug [...]

Forget Kobe or Lebron: Apparently Eddie Najera is the league's MVP

As someone in the business of marketing, I got to give a hat tip to whoever is in charge of hyping up Eduardo Najera. That guy (or gal) deserves a huge raise.

If you're like me and have watched the Nuggets a few times over the past couple weeks (they seem to be on national TV at least twice a week), you had to have noticed too. According to the commentators, Eddie is the most valuable player on the Denver Nuggets. He is the one member of George Karl's team that is untradeable.

Nugs Like Z-Bo | Has Zeke Found His Sucker?

Just a few days after a pair of Knicks beat writers told Hot Stove New York that Zach Randolph is nigh-untradeable, the Post's Marc Berman reported on Friday that there are "rumblings" that the team may in fact have found a sucker at least willing to discuss the notion of acquiring the bloated ballhog - and here's the real kicker - in exchange for expiring contracts no less! Truly too good to be true?which is why we don't believe it for a minute.

Minnesota: Trade Jaric and Craig Smith To Denver

FIRST OF ALL, click the link and you'll see a picture of Jaric's squeeze Adriana Lima in her underwear.

So the deal looks like this: Marko Jaric and Craig Smith for Eddie Najera and Chucky Atkins.

Minnesota saves $16 million, Denver avoids the luxury tax, and both teams take a step towards getting better. Of course, this all depends on Nene's health
