Abusing the NFL Subtance Abuse Policy

You might have heard that a few NFL players, including many Saints (Will Smith, Deuce McAllister, Charles Grant, and Jamar Nesbit), have been nabbed for using a non-league approved supplement, StarCaps, that contains an banned substance as an ingredient (Bumetanide).
McCray is Fast

Today in The Times-Picayune, Jimmy Smith penned a nice a little article on the pass rushing abilities of free-agent acquisition, Bobby McCray.

McCray's speed and quickness off the edge of the defensive line are impressive. In shorts and helmets, he's by far the fastest player on the line, much quicker into the backfield than Charles Grant [...]

Chiefs DE Jared Allen To Visit Vikings, Bucs Soon - GridironFans.com

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are interested in trading for Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowl DE Jared Allen, who could visit One Buc Place sometime next week, according to an NFL source. Bucs G.M. Bruce Allen has made a few trades with the Chiefs over the last year. An NFL source confirmed Fox Sports' report from earlier in the day that Tampa Bay and Minnesota have talked with Kansas City about trading for Allen, who was franchised by the Chiefs earlier in the offseason. PewterReport.com has learned that Allen, 26, could visit Minnesota within the next few days and could visit with Tampa Bay sometime next week before the 2008 NFL Draft is held on April 26-27. Ironically, it was nearly one year ago that Tampa Bay brought in New Orleans franchised defensive end Charles Grant for a visit before he eventually signed a seven-year contract extension with the Saints.
