Post Up: Two Weeks In

by Holly MacKenzie/@stackmack
Want to know how spoiled we as a basketball-watching whole are?
Through the opening 12 minutes on Friday night, LeBron James logs 19 points, five assists and three rebounds.
He flirts with a triple-double at the Garden before finishing with 33 points, eight rebounds and nine assists and we say we thought he’d have a bigger game.
Really?
Now, let’s head out West.
Kobe Bryant. 31 years, 75 days old when he becomes the youngest player in NBA history to r...

League Pushes Deadline; Still Time For Rajon, Rudy & Tyrus

Last week I was writing about the possible contract extensions for guys in the 2006 NBA Draft class, and how to-date only Andrea Bargnani, LaMarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy had received them. Then the other day word broke that Thabo Sefolosha signed a four-year, around $14 million extension with the Thunder, leaving guys like Rajon [...]

#16 Picks In the NBA Draft

The last time the Bulls had the #16 pick in the draft they selected Rodney Carney. He was promptly dealt to obtain Thabo Sefolosha. Sefolosha was dealt mid-season for the #26 pick in this year’s draft. Before that the Bulls last selection at #16 was Ron Artest in 1999. Here are other #16 picks.

Day 129 of 170: Dwyane Wade Just Burst into Flames

Line of the Night: Dwyane Wade (1.43) continues his
absolutely insane play over the last month with 35 points (sadly, he
didn't go over 40), 16 assists, 6 boards, and 2 steals as Miami beat
the Suns 135-129. If he keeps this up, we're going to have a new number
one overall fantasy player very, very soon.

Thabo Sefolosha Traded to the Thunder

According to Sports Illustrated’s Ian Thomsen, the Chicago Bulls have trade Thabo Sefolosha to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2009 First Round Draft Pick.
The Bulls will receive either the Phoenix Suns or Denver Nuggets draft pick, whichever one ends up being the least valuable. Right now, that pick would come from Denver, and [...]

Top 5 plots in Chicago Bulls first pre-season game

The Chicago Bulls have plenty off questions to be answered during the pre-season. From playing time to leadership, it should be interesting to see how Vinny del Negro handles the squad. Things to look for in the first game include the rookies (del Negro and Derrick Rose, big men Tyrus Thomas and Joakim's Noahs roles, and the lock jam at guard.

Pickup of the Night: March 26

JOSH BOONE
26 points on 9-12 from the field. 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. I only wish he didn't shoot 50% from the line in 16 shots. 16 SHOTS!!! I'm glad I picked him up recently since he has been playing a lot more in the power forward role. He definitely validated the 32 minutes he got tonight. I'm just hoping he does not cost me free throws at the end of the week.

His tattoo says it all - Thabo Sefolosha was meant to be here. In the USA, in the NBA... even on the Bulls. And with Scott Skiles gone, he's finally getting the playing time to prove himself.

Let's jump on the Bulls bandwagon. Chicago 108 Heat 66.

The Bulls trounced on the Miami Heat tonight, as predicted. Their defense was absolutely stellar, holding the pitiful Heat to 66 points shooting 38.5% from the field. On the other end, all 12 players scored for the Bulls, led by Kirk Heinrich and Chris Duhon with 26 and 20 points respectively

Rookies Tyrus Thomas and Thabo Sefolosha played great in limited action for their career debuts. Thomas played 17 minutes, getting 5 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks (once rejecting Shaquille O'neal). He shot 1-4 from the field and got to the line 6 times banking in two of them. Sefolosha played 11 minutes and had a hot hand hitting all 4 of his shots from the field and all 3 freethrows. He racked up 11 points in the 4th quarter garbage time.
