Friday night's full slate of games featured the triumphant returns of Chris Paul(notes) and Kevin Love(notes), as well as big nights from Chris Duhon(notes), Courtney Lee(notes), and Pau Gasol(notes). • We're getting to the point where NBA teams are starting to tighten there rotations, seeing what works and what doesn't with the personnel that is in place. The "what doesn't" of that statement also means that we're starting to see our first trade rumblings of...

“Etan Thomas should keep his mind on basketball,” argues one not on whether he agrees with what other players or owners are doing with their lives.” So opined Oklahoman reader “Benny Smith” upon learning the Thunder center has taken his political activism to Hoops Hype, with a debut blog appearing Monday.
Etan Thomas, Subtly Firing Shots at the Wizards Medical Staff

It’s as if we’re forced to admire or respect the outspoken views of Etan Thomas just because, well, they are outspoken. The mere fact that he’s a rare beacon of political activism amongst professional athletes somehow lends more credibility to his point of view.
Kind of ironic when you think about it. Because he plays in [...]

Truth About It: A Better Wizards Locker Room Without Etan Thomas

Truth About It: A Better Wizards Locker Room Without Etan Thomas
I thought this was a tad harsh, but it's definitely clear that Etan Thomas was not bonding with the rest of the team. Then again, I tend to shy away from these "locker room" commentary pieces naturally (it's a bias!), and Rashad's comment in the last thread adds some credence to Truth's position.

Definitely an interesting issue to discuss, though.

A Better Wizards Locker Room Without Etan Thomas

Etan Thomas waxed poetic. He audaciously spoke out against the war. He stumped for Obama. He got huffy on the Huffington Post. For his social involvement, he’s a commendable guy. Vastly different from many of the NBA’s young money millionaires.
But when it comes to the goal of winning as a team, Etan’s social activity, which [...]

I hear the calling. In his latest entry, Agent Arenas (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Halo3/Default.aspx?player=Agent+Arenas) clears the air as to why he is the genuine article when it comes to HALO 3 Online gaming. Arenas also touches on several other topics in this comprehensive entry: Thoughts on teammate Etan Thomas' open heart surgery, Live 2008, and his new interactive cartoon Gazo the Pranksta (An acronym based on his initials (Gilbert Arenas (G-A) and Zero (Z-O)).
