Game Preview #4: Chicago Bulls vs Milwaukee Bucks

[Thanks to Ozzie Montana for today's game preview. Sign up if you want to do one in the future. I figure the Bulls have an easy blowout, and we all laugh at how it made sense the Bulls offense to start out cruddy against three good defensive teams. But we'll also likely be wrong then thinking the offensive efficiency problem will go away. But if they lose...real fun begins here. -ed]
You have to hand it to this team. They really know how to crush even the most mild of expectation...

Kurt Thomas, No. 40

At the age of 37 and in his 15th season in the National Basketball Association, Thomas is the elder statesman on this season's Bucks team.

With that much experience under his belt, it might not be a bad idea for the younger players on the team - such as rookies Jodie Meeks and Brandon Jennings - to pick Thomas' brain from time to time on the ways of the league. And by the sound of it, that's exactly what the Bucks two first-year players have been doing.

"Jodie has come ...

Looks like Thomas stays

Veteran power forward Kurt Thomas had little idea whether he would fit into the Milwaukee Bucks' plans when he was traded by San Antonio on June 23 as part of the Richard Jefferson deal.

The Bucks were dumping Jefferson's big contract, and they did not keep the other two players they acquired in the three-team swap. Forward Bruce Bowen was released, and forward Amir Johnson was sent to Toronto in an August trade.

But less than two weeks before the regular-season opener the 37-year-o...

Denver Needs To Call Milwaukee ASAP About Kurt Thomas

If you watched the playoffs back in May and June, you can see that the Denver Nuggets need depth at the center position. While there’s been talk of working a deal for Jeff Foster (and I like that possibility), I think Kurt Thomas represents an excellent opportunity to grab a championship-caliber veteran player without giving [...]

The Bright Side of Manu Ginobili's Injury | DAILY SPORTS SELECT

Spurs fans, I don't mean to sound insensitive to your plight, but I'm a San Antonio fan, too. After the initial shock of learning about Manu Ginobili's season-ending leg injury, I realized that not all is lost in the long run, depending on what kind of moves the Spurs make. The off-season of 2009 will be a good time for the franchise to get younger - and Manu to get some real rehab and rest.Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Michael Finley are basically as good as done. After doing some ...

Sarver's Cheap? Try Moorad and Kendrick….and Sarver too

So yesterday we made the argument that Sarver shouldn't be viewed as cheap and was getting a bum wrap. Well we spoke to soon and Suns nation let out a collective grown on Friday morning. While the trade of Kurt Thomas to the Sonics makes business sense it doesn't make basketball sense.

Eddie Moneys Bet: Slow Night Tonight, But We Look at the Suns vs. Spurs Game 2

Nothing too hot on my radar tonight, but I do give my pick for the O/U of tonights Suns vs. Spurs Game 2 in Phoenix. Also, if you want some baseball action, I have compiled a three-game MLB parlay for tonights action. I'm a stunning 9-0-1 over the last two days, so lay your money down while I'm hot.
