Chad Couldn't Even Spell His New Name Right

No one believed Chad Johnson when he said he would legally change his name to reflect his nickname, “Ocho Cinco.” But that’s just what he did last summer, in an attempt to wear the name on his uniform. The NFL balked, saying he’d have to pay for the already-made Johnson jerseys. Well, no more...

Bengals Coach Lewis Says WR Ocho Cinco Going Nowhere

"Again, I don't know why people continue with this speculation of moving Chad," coach Marvin Lewis said about the WR Tuesday. "I think it's been told many times and we've reiterated now for I don't know anyone keeping count of this but Chad's not getting moved. So we won't speculate on any of our players."

Ocho Thinkos

With just 23 days left before the 2009 NFL draft, one of the burning-est questions in Bengaldom is whether the team will trade the artist formerly known as Chad Johnson on or before April 25.
At this point, I would have to say that the answer is no.
Absence of evidence may not be evidence of absence, [...]

The Cincinnati Bengal's Chad Johnson must pay $4,000,000 to sport Chad Ocho Cinco

CNBC's Darren Rovell reported that Reebok has asked Chad Ocho Cinco (formally Chad Johnson) to buy 100,000 jerseys for $40 per jersey. This equates to roughly 50 million pesos or $4,000,000. It is crazy that Reebok premakes 100k jerseys. What is worse, who in their right mind will buy a C. Johson #85 jersey, when you know it will soon be Ocho Cinco on the back. What would be interesting would be too see someone like Nike or Adidas sign Ocho Cinco, and agree to buy out his jerseys. The res...

Chad Johnson officially changes name to "Ocho Cinco"

Chad Johnson... err... Chad Ocho Cinco is one strange cat.

"According to Miami radio station 790 The Ticket, which is in Johnson's hometown, the receiver has legally changed his last name to "Ocho Cinco."

Johnson forewarned the public that a major surprise was coming during a recent interview with Chris McKendry on ESPN's SportsCenter.

"A lot of people look at Chad Johnson and say he's crazy and he does a lot of stuff, but I don't think people re...

The Oakland Raiders would be unwise to make a move for Chad Johnson

Chad Johnson of the Cincinnati Bengals has made every move possible to get himself traded to another team. The Oakland Raiders under Al Davis are known for taking the malcontents and giving them another chance allowing them to succeed. That was a reputation that was well earned back in the Raiders' salad days, but in recent years the Raiders have not been so successful with those moves.

(NEW) Rumors Abound About Eagles-Cardinals Making a Deal

On the same day that the Philadelphia Eagle's signed CB Asante Samuel, speculation has erupted that the Eagles could be sending their first round pick in this year's draft and CB Lito Shepherd to the Arizona Cardinals for WR Larry Fitzgerald.
If the rumor has legs, than both side could be in the making for vast improvement. The Cardinals recently moved CB Antrelle Rolle to S which left a hole and role that Shepherd could fill-in and better. For the Eagles, this could finally be Donovan McNabb's big break as he has the arm and accuracy to take a team to a Super Bowl like he did in the past. Remember the Donovan-T.O. connection? If this rumor is true, then the Eagles could be right back on track to make another Super Bowl.

There has been solid speculation that Fitzgerald could be on his way out of Arizona due to his enormous contract and cap hits he'd cause in 2008 and 2009, but Cardinals GM Rod Graves has shut down those rumors while holding that Fitzgerald will be a Cardinal in 2008. For Shepherd, he was unhappy with the Eagles while struggling in 2007. There has been rumors circulating with Shepherd's name on them for sometime now, with one including Chad Johnson from the Bengals.

Is Cincinnati Coach Marvin Lewis Hiding Something?

In his first year, Coach Lewis was open, and gregarious with the media and public when doing interviews and meeting him in public. Now, his interviews are often double speak, and alot of questions simply not answered. In the past, he's made statements about how a player is important to the team, everything is fine, etc., only to find the player cut during the offseason. Is that what's coming this year?

Coach Lewis has said "Chad is not going to be traded" many times. He h...

Video: Keyshawn's Tense Interview w/ Chad Johnson

Keyshawn Johnson interviewed Chad Johnson for ESPN's NFL Sunday Countdown and the situation got a little tense. Keyshawn agrees with the emerging belief that Chad's celebrating has become a distraction and had no problem letting him know.

Keyshawn spent his entire career being an outspoken maverick in the NFL but now that he's got a suit on behind the desk, he's turned into a complete tool. When the Bengals were winning, Chad Johnson was a great thing for the NFL, he was fun and happy (unlike the mean spirited Terrell Owens). But now that the team is 1-4, he's a distraction... how predictable
