Okay, the Atlanta Hawks have a pretty good team. They've gotten off to their fastest start since the 1997-98 season at 10-2, and currently have the best record in the NBA. But are they for real? I don't know and neither does anyone else. This same team started 6-0 last year and ended up getting swept in the second round by a good, not great, Cleveland Cavaliers team. The problem with the Hawks isn't the talent level of the players, but rather the inability to be consistent....

The Atlanta Hawks have re-signed restricted free agent forward Marvin Williams, taking care of their last bit of unfinished business from the offseason. Terms of the deal were not immediately available. Williams averaged 13.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists during his fourth season with the Hawks. He was the second overall pick of the 2005 draft after spending one season at North Carolina.

Home sweet home. There’s nothing like being home. Home makes everything right. Everything is good. I"m blessed. I dont know where to start. Well yea I do. March 8, 2009, Mackenzi Kaylee Law ya dig!!! 7 lbs 10 ozs and she's a reflection of me. She's even hairy like me. My big homey Hustle said we mixed with Clydesdale, but he a hater. She so little, all she does is eat, sleep, and hiccup lol. I can say it’s truly a blessing to be a father.

Now back to basketball. We have won 5 in a row, and we"ve beaten some pretty good teams too. Just call us the streak busters. We stopped Detroit, Utah, and beat a good Portland team. We play extremely well at home, and all this is without Marvin. If Joe keeps playing like this we will be a problem in the playoffs. We got to get that number four seed. I feel if we host the first round we have a greater chance of going to the second round or even further. This time of the year is always exciting for basketball fans.

Oh. Im doing my college bracket. Congrats to Texas A&M for doing it again. That's my alma mater and all, but I feel like when it’s all said and done Pitt will be cutting down the nets. Interesting recap on the Jazz' Rafael Araugo fouling the Hawks Marvin Williams late in the game with Utah up by 34. The Lion in Oil blog has video from an extremely non-PC Jazz fan and also the readio call from Hawks broadcaster, Steve Holman. Some of this falls into the Tim Hardaway category of putting your foot in your mouth.
