Tuesday Thoughts

Chris Perry along with 5 other players were cut yesterday in order to make room for the players drafted this past weekend. While I was never a huge Perry fan, we did waste a 1st round pick on him and I always wished eh would succeed and become a franchise back if not a 3rd down option…yet that never came to be. With his release his fate as an NFL rusher is pretty much sealed. One of the 5 other players cut was an OSU favorite of mine, Mike Doss. I don’t quite understand this move as we didn’t draft a safety at all to fill the void left by his release. While Trent Morgan was drafted at cornerback, I don’t see him as a potential safety option what so ever. Doss’s release has led to some speculation that this means Roy Williams will be signed, yet I highly doubt we will move in that direction.Continue reading "Tuesday Thoughts"

Bengals Cut 5, Including Chris Perry

The Cincinnati Bengals have parted ways with 2004 first-round pick Chris Perry.
Perry, the first pick in ‘04, played in just 35 games and rushed for 606 yards after missing all but two games of his rookie year and the entire 2007 season. He started the first six games of last season but was benched in [...]

Bengals on the Bubble

Aside from the usual crop of free agents, there are a number of current Bengals who may not be wearing orange-and-black come next fall. Here?s a rundown of players on the
Chris Perry. A first-round pick in 2004, Perry has appeared in just 35 games in five seasons. At the beginning of the ...

Perry To Be Benched?

After his performance against the New York Jets on Sunday (11 carries, 14 yards), it appears that Cincinnati Bengals running back Chris Perry is in danger of losing his strating job to either Cedric Benson or Kenny Watson, according to Chick Ludwig of the Dayton Daily News. So what's team head coach Marvin Lewis' [...]

Goats of the Game: Marvin Lewis, Carson Palmer

Pathetic.
Marvin Lewis fails to challenge a Chris Perry non-fumble.
Carson Palmer tosses a red zone pick.
Game over.
Defense did a decent job, even put seven on the board. But when your "offense" can only produce three points, you won't win many games.
Pathetic.
Oh, and yeah: the offensive line needs
