The third time was the charm for former Ottawa Goaltender Martin Gerber who was placed on re-entry waiver by the ottawa Senators for the third time yesterday and finally lost him to the Toronto Maple Leafs, who have announced that Starting G Vesa Toskala is out for the season. Fantasy Wise, drop Toskala if you have him and swap him for Gerber. Gerber cannot be any worse than Toskala was this year, so it's a better than even swap.

The Penguins should be an attentive bunch when they study the game tape of tonight's 5-3 win over the Senators. Despite raining shots on goal against the Sens' Martin Gerber and getting out to a commanding 3-0 lead, the Pens just as quickly let their foot off of the Sens' throat and watched them tie the game up with 11 minutes to go in regulation.

Before General Manager John Muckler was fired from the Ottawa Senators, he was reportedly involved in a trade discussion that included Coyotes defenseman Derek Morris for Senators goaltender Martin Gerber. Lately, Morris has been involved with the off-season promotional campaigns for the franchise (open house, upcoming draft party) and it is possible that he will not be with the team at the start of the season. In terms of value, is Gerber worth more to the Coyotes franchise than Morris?
