Liriano meets reqs, passes Santana for ERA and WHIP lead

Still pitching in tonights game, Francisco Liriano has now met the MLB minimum innings requirement (IP >= team games played) for proportion-statistics such as ERA and WHIP. On the season, through inning 5 in tonight's 'Twins v Rangers' game, Liriano has a 1.876 ERA, and a 0.950 WHIP. These numbers now best the field; however they will be short-lived, and before his next start provided he pitches less than 8.2 innings, he will be removed from the leaderboard.

This is a Twins dream come true. The two best pitchers in baseball, statistically speaking, whether you base that comparison off of ERA/WHIP or some sort of sabrmetrics - the two best pitchers in baseball wear a Minnesota jersey.
