Dollaway will take on show reject Jesse Taylor.

UFC President Dana White had mentioned that he would be willing to give Taylor a second chance after Taylor ruined his chances of winning TUF 7 by going on a drunken rampage in Palace Station, a casino owned by UFC owners Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta. Dollaway replaced Taylor in the finals after beating Tim Credeur, but lost a second time to show winner Amir Sadollah.

This is a fight that most watching the show would've predicted to be the final bout for who takes home the contract, but Amir Sadollah surprised by beating the former Arizona State wrestling standout twice, in the process giving him his first career loss.

Should be a good scrap.

Other fights set for Ultimate Fight Night 14 below.

MAIN CARD

* Anderson Silva vs. James Irvin
* Brandon Vera vs. Reese Andy
* Frankie Edgar vs. Hermes Franca
* Jake O'Brien vs. Cain Velasquez
* C.B.
Brandon Vera Explains why he's ducking Machida

He said that he was offered to fight Wanderlei Silva, Dan Henderson, and Lyoto Machida. He said that Dan and Wanderlei were not in shape, but Machida is someone who he would like to get extra time to get ready for him.

This is being too soon of a time frame to get ready for an elite fighter.

Brandon decided to go down to 205 as a favor. Dana White asked him to come down, and Brandon Vera said yes. But he's not done with Fabricio. He has unfinished business with Fabricio.

UFC Event for July 19th on Spike confirmed take that Affliction!

Looks like UFC is not going to let Affliction steal it's thunder with their main event on July 19th of Tim Sylvia versus Fedor Emeliankenko.

Details are sparse so far, but July 19th will be the night and Cain Velasquez and Brandon Vera will be on the card. Vera is going down to 205 pounds after suffering losses to Tim Sylvia and Fabricio Werdum.

Good luck Affliction you are going to need it.

Wanderlei Silva Vs Brandon Vera Possible for July 19th

The UFC is looking into solutions for countering Affliction's July 19th PPV. There has been rumors of the UFC holding a free event shown on Spike TV containing both Wanderlei Silva and Brandon Vera. There could be a clash of these two at light heavyweight but none the less it looks like the UFC is planning on keeping these two in the mix at this event.

This is a big blow to the heavily anticipated Affliction show that boasts some heavy hitters in the heavy weight division.

Brandon Vera Upset wtih Ref

Brandon Vera's fight was stopped prematurely, and he's pissed at the ref. Dan Miragliotta, the same ref that called the questionable Kimbo-Thompson fight, stopped the fight after Fabricio landed some punches on a very-aware and present Brandon Vera. Once Fabricio got the mount Brandon said that he was willing to wait 20 seconds until the end of the round rather than attempting to get out.

Brandon is also mad at Fabricio. After the match, Fabricio said that he would like to give Brandon a rematch, but afterwards he is now telling him to get back in line. Brandon feels as if he's been screwed by the entire situation. Dan Miragliotta is a terrible referree and shouldn't be allowed to call fights.

Do you think it was stopped early or was it appropriate?

UFC 85 Preview

We're just a couple hours away from UFC 85: Bedlam and I thought I better get in with my predictions. First off, I'm really disappointed that Thiago Alves didn't make weight. I can't believe that a fighter who is about to have the biggest fight of his career could come in four pounds over the limit. Alves is a great young fighter but this really makes me question his heart and desire to be a champion in the future.

Top Heavyweight Fighters (AKA Guys Kimbo Needs to Beat to Prove Himself)

Here are 6 of the top Heavyweight fighters in the world (keep them in mind when watching Kimbo Slice this weekend).

Fedor Emelianenko (27-1), Aleksander Emelianenko (13-3), Ben Rothwell (29-5), Josh Barnett (22-5), Andrei Arlovski (12-5), and Tim Sylvia (24-4) have beaten some of the best Mixed Martial Arts big men in the business. Coincidentally, all 6 of these guys are scheduled to appear on the July 19th "Affliction Banned" fight card.

So while Kimbo Slice is an intriguing specimen with a ton of potential, he'll have to beat one of these guys before he really proves himself.
