Dan Hardy on Josh Koscheck: "He's not in a position to be calling for a title."

By Jason Benfari November 26, 2009"The thing I've realized about Josh Koscheck is that he's kind of like a turd that won't flush away. He kind of wins a fight, and you think he's doing alright. Then he loses a fight and you think he's done, and then he wins a fight. He's always kind of floating around and he never really does anything. He thinks he deserves a shot as GSP, but he's 3-2 in his last five fights, so he's not really in a position to be calling ...

Slim Hardy: Will the real UFC welterweights please shut up, please shut up

 Props: Las Vegas Review Journal
Quoteworthy:

"I get doubted all the time. Regardless of what I do or who I beat, people always underestimate me. They've never given me the respect I deserve. Fighting GSP, if I can give him a good beating, people might start to change their mind. Josh Koscheck's at the back of a long line of people that have something negative to say about me. I'll shut them up one at a time. I understand that people are a little irked and a littl...

Dan Hardy Talks Josh Koscheck, Georges St-Pierre and Mind Games

by Ariel HelwaniFiled under: MMA Videos, UFC, FanHouse ExclusiveIt seems like every MMA fan, critic and fighter has an opinion on whether Dan Hardy deserves a title shot against UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre. And while many people -- most notably Josh Koscheck -- think he hasn't done enough to warrant the fight just yet, Hardy doesn't seem to care.FanHouse spoke to "The Outlaw" last week about dealing with the criticism, his recent victory against Mike Swick an...

Evidence of Anthony Johnson poking Josh Koscheck's left eye, prior to the "illegal" knee:

Johnson had this to say after the fight:

"I didn't hit him in the head, I hit him in the arm. I don't know why he would act like [that], I guess he was gassing. That's the only thing I can think of, [him] trying to find some kind of excuse to complain. I know I didn't hit him in the head. I thought I timed it perfect but I didn't and that's my fault. A...

By Natalia Baage November 22, 2009Welterweight Josh Koscheck still has his sights on welterweight gold, even though he will not be next in line for a title shot against current welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre.
After his second-round submission victory over Anthony Johnson last night, Koscheck called out Dan Hardy, who is fighting next for the title, saying that he is more deserving of the title shot than the U.K. fighter. Despite Koscheck's best efforts to change UFC ...

White blown away by Koscheck's performance but he's still not getting GSP

Dana White couldn't say enough good things about Josh Koscheck and his dominating win over Anthony Johnson. He even matched his mouth with his money by giving both the Fight of the Night and Submission of the Night bonuses to Koscheck. That's a hefty $140,000 double-bonus check on top of his fight night salary of $106,000 ($53,000 to show and $53,000 to win). Koscheck likes the money but a title shot would be even nicer. That's a bonus White isn't willing to pony up. White con...

Josh Koscheck submits Anthony Johnson in bizarre bout

In one of the weirder fights of 2009, Josh Koscheck submitted Anthony Johnson at 4:47 in the second round of the bout that has huge title shot implications at welterweight. The bizarre nature of the fight began in the first round. When Koscheck was down on both knees, Johnson threw a huge knee, sending Koscheck to the canvas. Johnson was immediately apologetic, as he knew that he had screwed up, but that didn't help as Johnson was deducted a point. After quite a few minutes and a check by...

UFC 106 interview: Koscheck willing to take risks to get title shot

Josh Koscheck is a promoter's dream. He'll fight anyone, anytime, even with less than eight weeks to prepare for a fight. When the UFC needed a major fight to fill the gap left by Brock Lesnar at UFC 106, matchmaker Joe Silva brainstormed and came up with an excellent fight featuring Koscheck against Anthony Johnson. Frankly, Kos should've said no unless he was guaranteed a UFC welterweight title shot with a win. But he didn't do that and he's taking all the risk against a...

UFC 106: Josh Koscheck Dethrone Walkout Shirt

Another UFC, another American Kickboxing Academy superstar taking to the ring.
It seems like these guys have been everywhere, and they especially dominate the welterweight division. You could make and argument that Josh Koscheck, Jon Fitch and Mike Swick are all in the welterweight top ten.
At UFC 106, Koscheck will take to the octagon against some one who alot of people believe is a champ in waiting in Anthony Johnson. Here’s the Dethrone Royalty shirt he’ll be wearing to the cage.

It’s a pretty simple shirt. It’s kinda bad ass though, as their is no cooler logo in all of MMA than the script Dethrone logo that is plastered along the back. Also, whoever came up with the name “Dethrone Royalty” is just freaking brilliant. Awesome name.
MMA Warehouse has it for a cheap-as-hell 24.99.
For More UFC 106 shirts, check out The 3rd String Store.
