Upcoming Strikeforce event poised to be... average.

We've seen it before. You remove one key component from a fight card and the whole thing goes toppling over. While Strikeforce may not may be in such a predicament, it is certain that Josh Thomson's toe injury (which will prevent him from defending his Lightweight Championship at Strikeforce's November 21st event) is a big blow to the upcoming Strikeforce fight card. The recent announcement of Thomson's injury left Strikeforce scrambling for a replacement which they filled with Duane "Bang" Ludwig (Professional Last Minute Fill-In Seth Petruzelli was unavailable, Kidding of course.) However, Ludwig is quite the performer and gurantees a good showing. Let's just hope no more pieces get pulled or this this thing could come crashing down like a game of Jenga.

Strikeforce's November 21st event took a major hit late Monday evening when it was announced that lightweight champion Josh Thomson would be forced to withdraw from his title fight against Yves Edwards due to a broken toe.

The Strikeforce 155 pound strap finally might change hands. Josh "the punk" Thompson is a bad mofo. Thomson is on a six-fight win streak, finishing five of those fights inside the distance mostly with submissions. He stopped Adam Lynn with a technical knockout his last time out at Strikeforce: Playboy Mansion in September 2007. Good luck Gilbert you'll need it.
