Indians' Sizemore has arthroscopic elbow surgery

Cleveland Indians outfielder Grady Sizemore has had arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow. The surgery was performed Wednesday morning by team physician Dr. Mark Schickendantz. Sizemore played in pain all season before the Indians finally shut him down on Friday. The three-time All-Star was on the disabled list from May 31-June 23. Indians' Sizemore to miss rest of season

Cleveland Indians center fielder Grady Sizemore will miss the remainder of the season because of soreness in his left elbow, an injury that will require surgery. No date been set for the surgery. Sizemore has been bothered by soreness in the elbow for most of the season. He was on the disabled list from May 31 to June 23. The three-time All-Star, a .279 career hitter going into the season, is batting .248 with 18 home runs and 64 RBIs.

Without actually saying it... Anthony Castrovince is saying that we may finally get our wish with Grady Sizemore being shut down for the rest of the season so he can undergo the surgery that he needs to fix his elbow.
