Jeremy Allen scored 19 points, hitting the game-winner at the buzzer, as Florida International knocked off previously unbeaten Coastal Carolina 64-62 Saturday night.

The Panthers (2-3), who led by as many as nine in the first half, tied the game at 62 on a layup by Dominique Ferguson with 41 seconds left.

The Chanticleers (5-1) called two timeouts to set up for Anthony Raffa, who missed a jumper with 7 seconds to play and FIU's Tola Akomolafe rebounded.

Coastal Carolina, coming off a 60-59 win at Clemson and an earlier victory over LSU, opened the second half with a 14-3 run to lead 42-36 with 16:38 to go.

The Chanticleers maintained the lead until Akomolafe's tip-in put the Panthers ahead 55-53 with 6:09 to go. Coastal Carolina went up 60-58 on a layup by Chris Gradnigo, who finished with 15 points, then made only 2 of 4 from the line.

Chris Gradnigo tipped in his own miss as the buzzer sounded to push unbeaten Coastal Carolina past Clemson 60-59 on Tuesday night.

The Tigers forced a Gradnigo miss with 8 seconds remaining, but guard Anthony Raffa swooped into the lane to grab the offensive rebound and give the Chanticleers (5-0) another chance.

After a pair of timeouts, Gradnigo missed a leaning jumper from the foul line. But his defender, Bryan Narcisse, fell down backward on the shot, leaving a clear path for Grandigo to get the two-handed tip and finish off the Chanticleers' rally from a 10-point deficit.

Gradnigo finished with 21 points, 15 coming in the second half.

Andre Young had 20 points for the Tigers (2-2), who suffered their second straight defeat to an in-state, mid-major after falling 72-69 at College of Charleston on Saturday.

Clemson shot 40.3 percent (23 of 57) and didn't have another scorer in double figures, yet the Tigers held a four-point lead with 1:41 left on Tanner Smith's 3-pointer from the right co
