Quick Jabs: Yuriorkis Gamboa Pulls Out Of Meeting About Pulling Out; Danny Green Vs. ...

New Zealand heavyweights: It is becoming crystal clear that you should avoid Americans with seemingly fatal blemishes on their record that they are trying to erase. Because in the past month, two of them have erased YOU. Last weekend, it was Kevin Johnson zeroing out Alex Leapai. More graphically, Travis Walker erased Kali Meehan so hard in the video above that his name is now .These are some things happening in boxing -- New Zealand heavyweights getting dispatched to invisibility, various boxers saying offensive things, some boxing on the big and small screen, the things in the headline and more.

Quick JabsA one-year suspension of featherweight Juan Manuel Lopez might've -- might've -- made sense if he hadn't repudiated his remarks about two referees in his fights having gambling problems, and he finally got around to repudiating them in full at apology #3 by saying there was no evidence of his claims. But now? No sense whatsoever. It's a p...

2004 U.S. Olympian Jason "Big Six" Estrada (17-4, 4 KOs) finds himself at the crossroads of his injury-plagued boxing career as he prepares to step into the ring Friday night in Providence against battle-tested veteran "Diamond" Dominique Alexander (22-13-1, 10 KOs) in the eight-round heavyweight bout headlining the "Who's Next?" card, presented by Big Six Entertainment, at the Rhode Island Contention Center.

The Week's Boxing Schedule, Featuring Juan Manuel Lopez, Orlando Salido And Danny Geale

I wasn't so sure about the whole world ending in 2012 thing until Sonny Boy Jaro beat Pongsaklek Wonjongkam on the weekend. Now I'm starting to think it might happen. The only thing that stopped me from running into the street for a naked looting session was Wlad Klitschko KOing the hapless Jean Marc Mormeck. This isn't one of those chock-a-block weeks in which we're going to have to insert subliminal messages into TQBR copy to encourage you to stop watching boxing and bathe, but there's one big show on Saturday night. Showtime has the rematch of featherweight Orlando Salido's 2011 upset of Juan Manuel Lopez and it's an intriguing fight in many ways. Apart from that, The Ring's number one middleweight contender, Danny Geale, is fighting in his native Tasmania and there will generally be punches being thrown around the world.

Daniel Geale Will Defend IBF Title Against Osumanu Adama in Tasmania, Australia

In what will be last bout on home soil before heading abroad, International Boxing Federation world Middleweight champion Daniel "The Real Deal" Geale faces his toughest test to date when he defends his crown against the number one contender Osumanu Adama of the United States.
The champion wants another taste of hometown support after the roaring atmosphere generated by the D.E.C.s capacity crowd during his 1st defense was compared by legendary U.S. promoter, Gary Shaw, to that of a Las Vegas super fight.
Grange Global Promotions in conjunction with Main Event Television and Gary Shaw Productions present a night of world class boxing Wednesday, March 7th 2012 at the Derwent Entertainment Centre, Hobart, Tasmania.
This is Daniel's mandatory defense of the much coveted IBF 160lb title captured in Germany last May, Geale's record currently stands at 26-1 (15 KO) and victory imperative in order to set up a unification bout abroad in the middle of the year. Whilst his ...
